breakups
When it comes to breakups, pain is inevitable, but Humans thinks that suffering is optional.
How to Dress for a Breakup
If clothes truly made the man, it would be so easy. To dress him up, outline, and fill in the blanks would actually say something about your taste. And getting what you asked for would be either your reward or your curse. When you decide to have another person in your life, clothed, naked, or thrown together by circumstance, the wardrobe sometimes becomes textured subtitles, to matter and memories, and to what was, what never was or what is, ever after. It’s the story of how we dress for the first date, all the high and low points in between, and what we enter in, when we exit. Our clothes sometimes become our treasure map to how you feel undressed. What covers us in the first place might be what leaves us naked in the end.

Why Is Goodbye Never Easy?
Ripping off a bandage, stubbing your toe, getting a burn from a flaming hot pot. This is how it feels to leave a loved one. I have had many intimate connections, with people. Being close means that emotions are high, and trust is needed at every corner. It is those moments where your brain chooses the ones that you can be settled, yourself, and honest. Not a lot of people are chosen to have that delicate and necessary position. When your love language is quality time, or you have dealt with abandonment in your upbringing, leaving a spouse, friend, dog, or close connection of anytime can be a moment that tests your inner child.

9 Reasons Why It's Okay It Dump Someone You're Not Attracted to
Oh, we’ve all been there: That relationship that turns stagnant. You glance over at them doing something that you once would have found endearing, and now it makes you want to punch them in the face. They eat too loudly, they snore, they are messy and you just don’t find them attractive anymore… and you know what? That is FINE.

How Do You Heal a Broken Heart
Kristi was just a girl from west Georgia; she wasn’t the prettiest, but she was very talented and had a caring personality. A bit of a dreamer, mostly of getting out of that small town and doing something with her life that mattered one day. Kristi had been dating Jay, a boy from a neighboring town she met in night school, and she was sure he was the love of her life. Jay was a bit older and had plans to join the Navy after high school. He joined the Navy and shortly after asked Kristi to marry him. She excitedly said yes and they decided to marry after she graduated high school.

I Hope One Day We Can Meet Again
Dear SD, Tomorrow, I’ll miss you a little more than I do today. And as the days turn into months, my mind will struggle to adapt to the absence of you, the change in my routine. But next year, along with new hopes and promises, I hope it brings you once again. If not, I wish you all the best this world could give. I’ll pray for you on the days that I don't pray for myself.

Surviving Toxic Relationships
How can one person that you put on this pedestal just let you down? How could one person that you “loved” so much end up hurting you so badly? Manipulative relationships could be the hardest thing to get over, but I don’t regret mine at all. He is the one person that I am so happy I met, but I never want him in my life again. He taught me everything about relationships. He was my first real boyfriend. The first real person to truly show an interest in me, and I held onto that because I thought that I would never find someone else that is romantically interested in me. However, I slowly started to learn (with the help of an amazing therapist and support system) that I do I deserve better than some boy yelling at me, calling me a bitch, and giving me the silent treatment.
