How To Be A Good Wife?
“Look, I stopped telling you what to do because you hate it when I nag you, but this was something that you wanted!” Evric rolled his eyes and groaned, “I said I will do it and I’ll do it when I want to! Jeez!” “But it’s been two weeks since you said that. As your wife, I need to be supportive of your goals and make sure you achieve them”, reasoned Bianca. “There you go again, guilt tripping me!” Bianca gasped, “Guilt tripping you?! Do you even hear yourself?!” “Any good wife would just let me be! Let me do my own thing at my own pace! Why is it always a rush with you? Don’t you understand that I need to be ready and prepared to do it?” “Yes, I understand that”, explained Bianca, “But you’ve already bought everything that is necessary for you to do it. Seems prepared enough to me.” Evric looked at his wife in utter disbelief, “Mentally! I need to be prepared mentally to do it as well!” “I don’t understand. You had two weeks to do that.” “I was thinking of ways to do it effectively and I was out purchasing the things needed. You know I don’t multitask well.” “Yes, I’m sorry about that.” “Schizophrenia is so difficult to deal with. So, please cut me some slack”, pleaded Evric. Shocked would be an understatement to what Bianca felt. Evric knew what she was thinking, “I’m sorry Bia, I should have told you sooner. I was diagnosed a few months ago. That’s why I decided that it’s about time that I do it. I think it’s for the best.” “I think it’s a wonderful idea, but I wish you would have told me about this sooner. You know I’ll support whatever decision you take.” “You know what? I’ll do it tonight. I think I’m ready. No, I know I’m ready!” “I’m so happy for you! Please know that no matter what, I’ll always love you” “I love you too, Bia”, Evric smiled and kissed her. ~~~~~ “Helium asphyxiation?” “Yup, that seems to be the case, considering the helium tank and these equipments”, gestured at them Louis vaguely. “What’s taking the coroner so long?” asked Gary. “Beats me. Also, the wife definitely needs to be questioned. I was told she sounded very calm during the call.” “Poor woman must have been in shock. I mean, who wouldn’t be if their husband committed suicide? “I don’t know, Gary. It didn’t seem normal to me. She hasn’t shed a tear since we arrived and it didn’t seem like she had been crying either.” “What are you trying to imp—” Bianca interrupted their conversation, “I made some tea. Would you like some, Officers?” Louis gave Gary a see-what-I-mean look before he addressed Bianca, “Thank you, Mrs. Luft but we need to bring you in for questioning.” “Sure, I’m happy to be of help, Officer.”

Pathogen, Ch. 3. Content Warning.
Marnie walked around in a kind of trance the rest of the day, unable to process what she'd learned in first period. Trevor Kennedy couldn't be dead. There was no way. Based on everything she knew about him - which admittedly wasn't much - he was healthier than a horse; tall, funny, good-natured, and captain of the varsity basketball team. Captains of high school basketball teams did not just drop dead like fruit flies.

The Deportation at Bachelors Grove Cemetery Feb 2025
Bachelors Grove Cemetery has been an urban legend in Chicago for decades. Since the late 1950s, strange disturbances plagued the once-forgotten burial ground—graves desecrated, headstones slipped over, and eerie lights flickering through the sparse trees. Paranormal investigators, thrill-seekers, and the occasional criminal prowled the grounds until the police patrolled the area nightly to keep away the curious, the reckless, and those with far darker intentions. The police patrols occasionally would come across something not easily explained away.

Consequence. Content Warning.
Angry welts burned where the ropes had dug into his skin. His fingers tingled as blood rushed to fill them after so long restrained. But the pain was glorious. The pain meant he was alive. It meant that this dark, cramped space was not Hell.

Howling
"Oh my god, isn't she precious?" Jeannie cooed. Marcus had to admit she was right. The dog was awfully cute. She was tiny, couldn't have been more than a couple of months old. Dark brown fur and ears way too big for her body. There was a little sheet of laminated paper taped to the window with the pet store logo and some basic information, a kind of doggy dossier.
