Review: 'Halloween Kills' (2021)
Hello, one and all. Three years ago, I reviewed David Gordon Green's sequel-cum-reboot that shirked everything from 1981 and on. I felt it was a promising, but all-too-familiar-and-beyond-old-hat meta-sequel that capitalized on Jamie Lee Curtis' screen presence and her iconic "scream queen" status. Halloween Kills was held over due to the COVID-19 pandemic's grip on the theater industry. With vaccinations doled out now, will it be worth seeing the latest Shape bloodfest on the eve of All Saints on the big screen (scream)?

Five movies that terrify, bring out nostalgia and wake you up!
I have always loved horror, and as a young child, I had practically begged for my parents to rent(Blockbuster, circa early 1900’s, haha) from the horror section for me since I realized it’s ultimate potential.

Give It A Break
Halloween Kills had so many mixed reviews that I myself as a diehard horror fan was nervous. To say I was disappointed is an understatement, but it wasn’t from the film, but from the horror fans that critiqued it so hard. Halloween Kills got a lot of hate from who Michael was killing to there being too much killing in the film. I know, who would complain about a slasher film having too much killing? Trust me, I’ve seen it all. I’m here to reassure the horror fan that was nervous like me to go see it anyways. See it in theaters and take all your friends and family with you. It’s a fun horror film that highlights Michael’s strengths and shows that through it all there’s no taking him down, no matter what you plan or try to do.

Classic Horror Movie Review: 'The Descent'
6 women on a cave exploring trip find themselves face to face with underground cave-dwelling cannibals. It sounds goofy, but as executed in the sensational horror film The Descent it's a terrifying series of gory, edge of your seat, horror that you watch through your fingers. Writer-director Neil Marshall who became known as the director of the much talked about but little seen Dog Soldiers, nails moments of pure, honest ,terror, a rarity in modern horror, by using his unique location and suffocating close up photography and lighting.

My Top 5 Favorite Horror Movies of All Time. Top Story - October 2021.
Halloween is about candy, fun, costumes and great scares. It’s also about horror movies, the official film genre of Halloween. With that in mind, I decided to lay out my list of my Top 5 All Time Favorite Horror Movies. My choices are both traditional and non-traditional. I have at least one all timer that goes on just about any list of favorite horror movies and two movies that have divided fans who either love these movies and the filmmaker behind them or loathe them. Regardless of how you feel about my list, be sure to get in touch with me and tell me what your favorite horror movies are on Twitter where my handle is @PodcastSean.

Classic Horror Movie Review: 'Wrong Turn' (2003)
Halloween is upon us and with that the need to watch many, many horror movies. With that in mind, I have been watching horror after horror after horror movie, in my pursuit to review as many horror movies as possible. It was this quest that brought me to revisit a horror movie of my past as a critic. In 2003, I reviewed the horror movie Wrong Turn and I hated it. Was I wrong? Is my 2021 perspective different? The movie isn't, but perhaps I am a little different.

Watch These Three for Halloween 2021
The Halloween movie series made quite an impression on me as I watched the first Halloween at University Cinema in Orono, Maine, in October 1978. In case that sounds familiar, the University of Maine is where Stephen King went to school and the area where I grew up. Well, mostly, but that’s another story.

'Halloween Kills' Movie Review
Picking up mere minutes after the events of Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills follows the three generations of Strode women, Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer), and her granddaughter Alyson (Andi Matichak), as they recover from the slew of murders committed by the returned Michael Myers (James Jude Courtney). In the wake of said murders, the town becomes restless, and a mob led by a now-grown Tommy Doyle (Anthony Michael Hall), the young boy whom Laurie was babysitting back in 1978, is out for blood.
