Movie reviews for horror fans; from gruesome bone-chillers to dark horror thrillers, a showcase for frightful films that seek to entertain and to terrify.
There's Someone Inside Your House
This film was a roller coaster of emotions, storylines, and plot twists. While I would call it a slow burner it did hold my attention for the entire film. Staring Sydney Park, Theodore Pellerin, and Dale Whibley the film lives up to its title. While the plot of the film is over used, the writer put their own twist on the film making it entertaining and interesting. Would I recommend the film? Yes, if you have nothing else to watch and are looking for some light-hearted horror.

Movie Review: 'Double Walker' is a Smart, Scary Take on Murder Mystery and Revenge
Double Walker is a trippy take on a murder mystery with the victim as the investigator and avenging angel. Sylvie Mix stars in Double Walker as The Ghost. We never learn her name and our introduction to The Ghost defies expectations. As the story begins, a man is in a park with his dog. The dog runs off into a nearby forest and finds a young woman hiding in the forest. She’s wearing only a long white t-shirt and she doesn’t speak.

A Fool’s Dream: Celebrating Wes Craven’s ‘The People Under the Stairs’
Thirty years ago we were treated to Wes Craven’s deliriously entertaining socially-conscious horror roller coaster, The People Under the Stairs. When we talk about Craven’s oeuvre, the usual suspects are mentioned: the exploitation classic, The Last House on the Left; the fantastical slasher where murders transpire in the dreamscape, A Nightmare on Elm Street; and finally, the 90’s meta-fictional deconstruction of the slasher genre, Scream — as well as its subsequent lesser sequels.

‘Antlers’ Movie Review
Antlers is the latest film from director Scott Cooper, based on a short story by co-screenwriter Nick Antosca. A little boy named Lucas (Jeremy T. Thomas) has a pretty rough life. He lives in squalor, he’s bullied relentlessly at school, and worst of all, his methhead father (Scott Haze) is possessed by the spirit of a demonic creature from Native American folklore called a wendigo. When his teacher (Keri Russell) begins to notice a troubling pattern in her behavior, she decides to investigate. All the while, her brother, the town sheriff (Jesse Plemmons), is terrified of what could be the cause of a string of horribly mangled bodies turning up.

Halloween Kills Movie Review
There are horror franchises. And then there are the big daddies of the genre – the legends that made horror everything that it is today. Halloween – along with its iconic antagonist Michael Myers – belongs firmly in the “legends” category, so a new addition is always a big deal. But Halloween Kills, the direct sequel to 2018’s Halloween soft reboot and the twelfth installment of the franchise as a whole, is in a class by itself as far as anticipation goes.

Movie Review: 'Antlers' Starring Keri Russell
Antlers stars Keri Russell as Julia Meadows, a troubled young teacher who has moved back to her home state in Oregon to get back on her feet. Living with her younger brother Paul (Jesse Plemons), now a county sheriff, and back in their childhood home where she survived years of abuse from their father, Julia is just doing her best to stay clean and sober amid the many triggers of her past trauma. Her main focus is teaching where she has come to know a troubled little boy whom she sees some of herself in.
