Headache
My eyes flutter open to the sound of spammed notifications reaching my ear. My face turns into a frown as I automatically assume it's one of my friends attempting to schedule another party. We've barely been out of Quarantine for 2 months and they are already scheduling parties back to back. Do they never get tired of getting hammered? Once I bring myself to check my phone, my heart stops for a moment. In big letters displayed across the top of my lock screen reads; "DO NOT LOOK AT THE MOON".

Circus Freak
The harsh Atlantic wind whipped the McNally girls’ hair against their cheeks. The air smelled of rain and cold, a warning of snow yet to come. The youngest of the three, a little girl no more than five years old, shivered in her sister’s embrace. Tears fell from the little one’s emerald eyes as she watched her oldest sister place roses on their parents’ burial spot.

The Dark
The man awoke in the dark wooded forest. He was laying down, and not sure how he had gotten there. In his hand, he felt the familiar feeling of his handgun. His 9mm pistol. With a flashlight that he always took out with him, no matter the occasion. The familiarity did little to put his mind at ease as he sat up, wondering where he was and how he got there. He looked around using the flashlight on his pistol, seeing only the seemingly never-ending forest around him. He stood up and started walking in a random direction, hoping to hear either the familiar sound of a road or maybe stumble upon a house where he could get some help.

Voodoo Dues
CHAPTER 5 I couldn't decide if Lian was being smart, or if he was just an old fashioned coward. Helping Rene seemed like the right thing to do. Setting aside the whole Voodoo Mambo thing, she was a grandmother who'd just lost her grandson. Where I came from, you helped people like that out.

Spector
She wandered through the night; hopeless and lost as to what she truly saw in her future. As Tina walked she felt as though she was not alone, she usually felt as though she couldn’t be lonelier however tonight she had an eerie sense of company, Discomfort befell her. She did her best to ignore the feelings that had overcome her by focusing on the day prior, from the loss of her job to the humiliation she had faced in the lunch room at the hands of her biggest tormentor. Sabrina was once her best friend but over time things changed; popularity became more important than the loyalty of a true friend. Had it simply been the loss of her closest childhood friend then maybe Tina wouldn't have taken it so hard but the attitude and moral changes shown over time in Sabrina proved to be worse than just a simple status change.
