She wandered through the night; hopeless and lost as to what she truly saw in her future. As Tina walked she felt as though she was not alone, she usually felt as though she couldn’t be lonelier however tonight she had an eerie sense of company, Discomfort befell her. She did her best to ignore the feelings that had overcome her by focusing on the day prior, from the loss of her job to the humiliation she had faced in the lunch room at the hands of her biggest tormentor. Sabrina was once her best friend but over time things changed; popularity became more important than the loyalty of a true friend. Had it simply been the loss of her closest childhood friend then maybe Tina wouldn't have taken it so hard but the attitude and moral changes shown over time in Sabrina proved to be worse than just a simple status change.
Lost in all of her inner thoughts and contemplation Tina became oblivious to the strange figure lurking with in the abyss of darkness. He followed swiftly and without a sound made, it was a sense of curiosity that was foreign to the stranger that caused his trailing of the young girl. There was something tantalizing about the 5ft dark haired girl that drove him to her on that windy October night. It was an accident that he saw her, or maybe it wasn't but either way he knew it wasn't something he planned. All he remembered was waking up in the park, in fact that's all he remembers. His name, Address or even the town he was currently in; all a mystery to which he had no clues or ways of figuring out. The only thing he knew for certain was that he wanted to learn all he could about the girl walking a short distance away from him.
Having been sucked into all of her inner thoughts it was several minutes before Tina felt that unnerving sense of company once more. With curiosity weighing down on her she finally mustered the courage to turn around and look behind her. As she slowly turned to bare witness to the face of her discomfort, her chills quickly faded as she came to see nothing but trees and darkness beyond them. With her goosebumps settled she returned to the sulking over the day previous. The loss of her job had also taken its toll on her in the past several hours, it wasn't by any means her dream job or in any way her favorite place to go during the day but she did grow fond of most of her coworkers, with the exception of her manager. She would miss the comradery as well as the weekly paycheck but surely she could find something better; perhaps a bookstore or a library. She always preferred the quiet and tranquil feeling of places like that.
He followed for what felt like hours, gaining more questions about this vexing girl and no answers. It happened quick but caught him completely off guard when she stopped walking, it seemed as if she were fighting a rather difficult inner battle. He soon realized what that battle was about when she spun around at the blink of an eye; undoubtedly due to his being caught following her. With nowhere to run he was prepared to make the closest thing to an explanation that he could in order to excuse his odd behavior but was at a loss for words when she turned around without a word muttered and continued her travels. Surely she had seen him, he wasn't so far as for her to be unable to see him and he was in the middle of an open sidewalk. He sat for a moment attempting to figure out what had happened when he realized the girl was gone. He increased his pace, almost running until he came upon a house and caught sight of the girl in her final seconds of entry. His only thought now was executing his own entry into the home.
Tina walked through the front door dropping her dark and faded shoulder bag to the floor. She was exhausted beyond words; so much so that she almost didn't want to eat, much to the dismay of her excessively empty stomach. Having heard enough of her stomach's growls she opted to find some food to appease her gullet before ascending to her room and ending this dreaded day. While making her way down the front walk way and into the kitchen she noticed a note on the table in Fourier with her name at the top. Her mother would be having another long night at work so she would be alone for a majority of the night. She laid down the note and continued her walk to the kitchen when she felt a slight chill. The back door was wide open allowing a cool autumn breeze to enter her home.
