fiction
Horror fiction that delivers on its promise to scare, startle, frighten and unsettle. These stories are fake, but the shivers down your spine won't be.
Awakening
She was warm; she must still be dreaming. She was laying on the softest material she had ever felt, covered by a heavy blanket that felt to be of a young animals fur. The heaviness had a comfort all its own. Reluctantly she opened her eyes. Surveying the room she found it to be fairly sparse, but cozy, early morning sun streaming in through the blinds. A drinking horn and a pitcher sat on the little table near the bed. There appeared to be 3 sets of clothing folded on another table toward the foot of the bed, next to a full length mirror. The wooden floor was littered with rugs and furs and there were 2 doors; one assuming leading to another room, one to a bathroom.

The Blood Bath
Baharsh and the High Commander were interrupted by the watcher's unmistakable rage filled bellow, followed by a scream of pain, then one of panic that was quickly stifled. As one, he and Reihnash ran from the conference room toward the courtyard of the compound. As they reached the entry way, a crowd of demons had already gathered and formed a circle; they had to push their way through.

Vengence Nightingale
Night. Darkness. Emptiness. So beautiful so tragic but all ruined thanks to the boy who sat across from me. He is none blinking, sunk in eyes boring into me. His toothy grin making chills run up and down my spine. That grin, those eyes, I clenched my fist. Anger boiled under the surface. Making me grit my teeth trying to keep from lashing out. Unfortunately, my control did not last long.

Dolls
I had thought it couldn't get any worse than it had, the sounds were bad enough but to know at all times were they were was somehow even more unsettling. It was like some kind of sick game, glancing at the monitors and tracking there moments but knowing that if they found me I could do nothing to stop it from tearing me to shreds. It had wandered into one of the manny winding halls getting just a little further away from me. I suppose this would be comforting if I felt like there was a way to escape but I knew there wasn’t, no matter how much I looked not a door could be seen, no window I could get to before it found me. So I stay put praying it doesn't come this way but I know it will, it will run out of halls eventually and ill be waiting fore it.

Flowers
The old man sat in front of his kiosk with his flowers arranged and displayed in front. In the back through the little wooden door where he sat in the rain was his extra inventory. He watched as the people walked by, some of them stopping to admire his flowers some of them buying some, asking him how he got them to look so vibrant or how they smelled so good. He just smiles, thanks them for the compliment and watch’s them go on their way.

The High Commander
Baharsh did his best to appear nonplussed as they made their way to the main meeting room of the compound, but he could feel all the eyes watching them. He cursed himself a third time for not halting prior to the gate and making the remaining distance, though slower, on foot. The woman would have been easy enough to hide, but there was no disguising a 2 sizes too big wolf, or it's disappearance into thin air after she dismounted. He didn't need to look behind him to know they had picked up an ever growing train of curious demons.

Infinity’s Heroine
The doctors had been nice and friendly at first. They had tried to shelter Silvia from the ugly truth, that her parents and little sister had died in the crash. A psychiatrist had even been brought in to determine if she was mentally and emotionally ready to go to the funeral. In the end, those in charge of her care judged it to be bad for her.
