The Ballad of Mr. Nobody #3
Daniel Polchuli stood at the entrance of the construction site and gazed upon the horrors he saw. The gallons of blood soaked the dirt. The men he sent to get rid of Greg Duhan’s body were a little bit everywhere. Daniel almost felt what could be considered guilt, he sent them there. Granted he did it to save face. The police of Evergreen City belonged to his family. Hell, the entire city belonged to his family. Both the cops and the Polchuli’s couldn’t let people know what happened to Duhan, he was the glue that held these two noble forces together. The Press would see his mutilated body, they would mention how a beloved detective was brutally slain, it would make smart people think there was a competitor for the city, and it make the blind people not leave their homes, and that means not spending money at businesses that the Polchuli’s had their hands in.

Let's Read: Red Claw
“Red Claw” by Philip Palmer, is something I picked up at a Half Price Books years ago. I was sitting at my desk, wondering what book should I choose for a review, when this fun science fiction book that entertained me for some odd number of weeks all those years ago beckoned to me. “Red Claw” was such an entertaining book to read, and frankly a lot of the criticisms of it were the reasons I loved it so much. Claiming it reads like a video game is an injustice to this book (as well as video games by the way). It’s action, joke, gore, and social commentary packed. If it’s a video game in book form, then it stands with the likes of “Bioshock Infinite” and “The Last of Us”, albeit with a lot more clever and dark humor. Can I be blamed and shamed for laughing out loud when the militant leader of a survivor group pretends to be dead, but the scientist strangling him knows better so he keeps choking him? Or when we are introduced to a character who lives his entire life over in his head, sees the signs that he was destined for greatness, to be a God among men, and save the day, only to be immediately killed when his thought is finished? That is top tier humor, the only kind that can be made for an ultra violent science fiction novel of such proportions.

Empire of Dirt #3
Wednesday 1:30 PM The massive ships were parked for some time around the world. The world stood still as everyone waited for them to do...anything really. The ships were nearly the size of the cities they hovered over, a dark metallic blue disk with seven spires jutting out from the edge of it.

The Ballad of Mr. Nobody
Greg Duhan stumbled out of the bar at an hour of the night where nothing pleasant happens. As he waltzed his degenerate dance through the city streets, the night rain was so gentle it was almost a mist, the kind that wraps around your skin like a cold quilt, made as a monument to your sins.

Let's talk about the book "On Amidism, To Be Born In A Lotus, & A Buddhist Goal That Can Be Acheived In One's Present Life"
This, as the title suggests, is technically three books in one. However, given the two facts that: 1. These essays are very short, and 2. They’re all in the same very small booklet.
