Upcoming MCU Movie to Undergo Reshoots With Sadie Sink – Report
Sadie Sink Joins Key Spider-Man Reshoots

The filming of the much-anticipated fourth installment of MCU‘s Spider-Man gets a new update. Sadie Sink, who will appear in the upcoming movie in an unconfirmed role, will reportedly be part of the reshoots, scheduled for next year.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day rumored to undergo reshoots
According to scooper Daniel Richtman, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has reshoots planned for February 2026. While the scheduled release date remains to be July 31, 2026, Sadie Sink will reportedly be part of the February reshoots.
Fans, however, should still take this latest update with a grain of salt. But it is common for studios to conduct reshoots during the post-production stage of the film. While Sink’s role in the film remains unconfirmed, the most prominent rumors about her part suggest that she will play Mayday Parker. With her role tightly kept under wraps, it seems the character she plays holds high significance in the film.
During a recent interview with EW, Sink addressed rumors about her Spider-Man character being related to the Punisher. “People will just have to wait and see. I’m excited for all of it to maybe be put to rest,” she remarked.
The cast of the film will also include Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando, Tramell Tillman, Liza Colón-Zayas and Marvin Jones III,among many others.
It is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna and Eric Sommers. Cretton is known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Just Mercy, and The Glass Castle. The movie is part of MCU’s Phase Six and is one of the most widely anticipated superhero films coming out in 2026.
There’s been a noticeable rise in speculation about how the story will continue after Spider-Man: No Way Home left Peter Parker in such a lonely place. At the end of the previous movie, audiences watched Peter make a choice that practically wiped him from the lives of everyone he cared about. That emotional cliffhanger alone gives this next instalment a load of pressure to deliver something meaningful, and the addition of new characters—especially one connected to Peter on such a personal levelonly fuels the curiosity.
If Sadie Sink is indeed playing Mayday Parker, that opens up a storyline many fans have been hoping the MCU would eventually explore. Mayday has a long history in Marvel comics as Peter’s daughter, and her presence usually signals a fresh direction, sometimes even a handing of the torch. It would be a dramatic move for Marvel to reveal her existence this early, but audiences love surprises, and Marvel has never shied away from bold twistswhen the timing feels right.
There’s also the broader question of how Spider-Man fits inside Marvel’s evolving multiverse phase. With characters jumping realities, variants, and timelines crossing all over the place, the idea of reintroducing key figures or rewriting familiar destinies suddenly feels completely possible. Sadie Sink joining at this specific moment gives Marvel a chance to shift Spider-Man stories toward a more family-focused arc or even toward future team-ups that wouldn’t have worked a few years ago.
Some fans believe the reshoots might be related to larger restructuring across Marvel’s slate. The studio has been adjusting schedules, moving release dates, and revisiting several titles behind the scenes. Reshoots don’t always mean trouble—sometimes they’re simply about improving scenes or tightening narrative threads—but the timing suggests Marvel wants this movie to land with emotional weight, especially after such a massive response to Spider-Man’s previous outing.
Right now, there’s a mix of excitement, nerves, and curiosity surrounding Spider-Man: Brand New Day, mostly because audiences don’t know what direction the MCU intends to take next with such an important character. That mystery, combined with Sink’s growing popularity, practically guarantees that the months leading up to release will be full of theories, leaks, denials, and probably a few surprises carefully dropped by Marvel itself. One thing is certain—Spider-Man’s next chapter is going to draw a lot of attention.
