The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Lily and Daniel heat things up as Billy and Chelsea are doing the same

Billy and Daniel take the plunge with the women they love

Those who watch The Young and the Restless have been wondering if and when the relationship between Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) would develop into romance. Billy has been mindful of Chelsea's mental health and has not been pushing her but next week they will finally become lovers. The same is true of Daniel Romalatti (Michael Graziadei) and Lily Winters (Christe Khalil). Lily has been a shoulder for her ex-husband to lean on and was not actively seeking romance but like Billy and Chelsea, things have evolved between the former spouses and both couples take things to the next level.

Daniel and Lily were teenage lovers when they married and Chelsea hooked up with Billy on the orders of Victor Newman and became pregnant with their son Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind). Some fans of The Young and the Restless have been saying for a while that there were some unresolved feelings between the two that needed exploring and now they are doing just that. Viewers also believed from the moment Daniel set foot back in Genoa City that he and Lily were destined to be together and now both couples seal the deal on the same day.

Monday is the big day

On Monday Daniel wakes up from a bad dream and Lily is in bed beside him. He asks if she wants to pretend the previous night never happened and she tells him to focus on healing as he is grieving the death of Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Later they will run into Billy at Society where he is picking up takeout for Chelsea. it will be an awkward moment between them and Billy will realize that Lily has moved on with Daniel.

When he returns to Chelsea's place Billy tells her that he saw Lily and Daniel and could pick up a vibe between them. He adds that he is happy she has moved on and Chelsea will mention that Conner Newman (Judah Mackey) spending the night at the ranch and add that it’s been a long time since she’s been intimate with someone. Billy compares it to riding a bike, which makes her laugh and then they go upstairs to her bedroom. Billy will ask Chelsea if she is sure and she responds that she is so sure and then things heat up between them.

It's all in the family in Genoa City

The Young and the Restless is mirroring The Bold and the Beautiful where characters become intimate with others on the soap that are inappropriate to viewers and sometimes borderline on incest. Chelsea has been with both Nick Newman (Josh Morrow) and his brother Adam Newman ( Mark Grossman) and her son with Adam is Conner Newman ( Judah Mackey) who is the half-brother to Johnny whose mother Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is Billy's ex and the sister of Adam and Nick.

Lily is back with Daniel whose mother Phyllis Summers had Summer Abbott with Nick and she also had an affair with Billy while married to his brother Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Baby Dominic Chancellor (River and Rain Ware) connects them all together as his bio dad Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is Lily's adopted brother and their dad Neil Winters ( Kristoff St. John) who once dated Ashley who is the mother to Dom's mom Abby Chancellor ( Melissa Ordway) who is the younger sister of Nick, Adam, and Vicki.

Devon's grandmother Katherine Chancellor (Jeannie Cooper) is the step-grandmother of Dom's adopted dad Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd). Related or not Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has had his hand in the persona lives of everyone mentioned. The bottom line is that sooner or later these connections will get in the way but for now fans of Lily and Daniel and Chelsea and Billy can enjoy the ride.
