Psychological Breakdown of Octavia Blake from 'The 100'
Octavia Blake is an intriguing character from The 100 who has gone through many challenges throughout her lifetime. Octavia was forced to stay in her room most of the time due to the fact she was a second child, and due to population control a second child couldn’t exist. When she was nine she was taken to one of the balls with her brother, Bellamy, and they had fun. Something happened in the middle of it and they put the room on lock down. This is when they took her ID and found out the family's secret. Her mother was floated, and Octavia was placed in the prison for existing. She was there till they sent her and 100 prisoners to the ground. There she made friends and became the link between them and the grounders. The grounders are other people who lived on the ground throughout. This is where she learned to fight among them, from her boyfriend Lincoln. Soon enough in the series she became the leader among a group that reunited all of the grounder nations, and the people from space in a bunker, as a nuclear storm came through. She made the rules and society, that could be compared to Rome where as a punishment for a crime they would have to fight in a gladiator war.

Why 'Sanders Sides' Is Important to Me
Today is a special day because three years ago today, a man named Thomas Sanders decided to post a video entitled “My True Identity.” Little did he know this video would become important for many people across his platform and the world. What had been a video for fun with characters based on his past Vines would later grow into a wonderful, complex series called Sanders Sides where Thomas would explore self-growth, different phases in life, and much more. In honor of the anniversary of the series, I would like to share how I came across Sanders Sides, why I enjoy the show, and how one person changed my life for the better.

'Survivor: Island of the Islands' Episode 4
Wow! What an amazing episode of Survivor tonight! First off, nice move to Lairo on blindsiding Vince. Unfortunately, Karishma now feels on-the-outs like before, so if you want her on your side, you need to do some work. Also, Dean and Chelsea, showmances often don't work in Survivor. The only time it did was Boston Rob and Amber, and ever since, showmances in Survivor only lead to trouble. You should know that. Sleeping next to people tells a lot about you and them. Beware of causing a showmance. Meanwhile at Vokai, the tribe made a big mistake. They left Jamal alone, and as a result, he got the idol. One big lesson in Survivor: DO NOT LEAVE PEOPLE ALONE, EVER! That is something that is proven to be a mistake, again and again. And, because you all left him alone, now he has the idol. Good job, now Jamal, who has little-to-no trust in any of you, has the idol, giving him the power to save himself and take out anyone he wants.

'Survivor: Island of the Idols' Episode 3
Wow! What an amazing episode of Survivor tonight! First, ok, it seems that "previously" isn't what starts the show anymore, now it's just a preview of what's to come at the beginning of each episode. Ok, that's kind of neat. Anyway, nice blindside, Vokai, Molly never saw it coming. And Jack seems ok about it—Jamal though, better watch out for him. He has officially turned into a rogue agent who will do anything now. He went from trusting ally, nothing bad happens to an "I'll slit your throat if it suits me" kind of player. Well, that is gonna be pretty interesting. Back at Lairo, it's men vs women and Vince doesn't trust Aaron, so he's likely with the women, and it's a pretty good strategy. Side with the winning team. And back at Vokai, Dan wants Noura out, thinking it'll be good for him and everyone else, which is something he wants to do. But he didn't realize the wrath of Jamal. And Jamal doesn't like Dan or his wanting to use Jamal for the vote. So, Jamal suggested getting Dan out to Janet, which she was open to. She spoke to Tommy, and now Jamal is a target of Tommy's for his unpredictability. It's dangerous. Back to Lairo, Karishma, who earlier was a bit uncomfortable since, as an Indian woman, she was swimming around with the women in her underwear, become more distressed when she accidentally cut herself and had to wait for the doctors to wrap up the wound, so she sat around and none of her tribe went to support her. So she became convinced that she was a target.

Series Review: 'Godfather Of Harlem'
I got a chance to take a load off this weekend for some long overdue TV binge-watching, so I was able to finally sink my teeth into the first few episodes of Epix's new original series, Godfather Of Harlem. The series is three episodes in, and it's already one of the best things I've seen on television in 2019. Let's start with some of the all-world cast that's heading up this project:

'Chernobyl' (2019)
Have you ever found yourself watching your favorite horror film and it has gotten to the point where the pretty girl is about to die? You know that she shouldn't go down that alley or into the woods, and she knows that the killer is there, but she decides to path directly into him or her. I don't know about you, but I genuinely get angry when I see such stupidity. I am not talking about when the pretty girl has no clue that the killer is lying in wait, but that she clearly understands that the killer is there and proceeds to scream or make noise to give away her position. I am not so naive to assume that those characters have the same training or tenacity as the killer, but if your life is in danger, and you simply need to sit still and not whimper, why in the hell would you make any noise?

Donna Paulsen Is Queen
Recently, I have started watching Suits again. For those who have not seen a single episode of Suits it is about a law firm that hires a fraud as a lawyer and they knowingly did so. The reason that Mike Ross was hired was because Harvey Spector has never seen an associate know so much about the law, but of course Mike Ross has a photographic memory. Anyways, Harvey has the best assistant in the world. Donna knows the details of everyone and everything that goes around the office. She can be portrayed as an icon of feminism. Harvey is one of the best lawyers in the city and Donna is the equivalent of him. She is fiercely loyal to Harvey and sometimes she does have clouded judgement when it comes to him, but it happens rarely. Donna is often the glue that holds everyone together, and she gives the great advice even when it is not asked. Donna does her job and does it well. She also has the confidence that any woman should have, and her outfits are simply amazing.

'My Hero Academia': Ranking the Openings
To be honest, they’re all great. My Hero Academia is about a week away, and it’s easily one of the most anticipated anime of the year. This anime is popular for a million reasons, from the fun plot and action sequences to the dynamic characters and emotional stories they have. It also helps that they have great openings. Having a good opening is pretty much essential to any anime (I mean, you may have even heard the opening to Neon Genesis Evangelion and don’t even know it) as it highlights and foreshadows important story arcs to expect. My Hero Academia has had five openings thus far, and honestly, ranking them is very hard. However, before the latest season drops and we get another (most likely) awesome opening to look forward to every week, let’s look at the openings that came before and see which is the best of the best.

Let me preface this by saying I initially had no intention of watching Batwoman on The CW. While I love superhero movies, and have recently watched a few comic-related series, Batman has been done numerous times and not always well. Michael Keaton has always been my favorite Batman. While I was all for the idea of a female version, I was afraid in the name of feminism something would get lost about the premise behind the superhero.

'Survivor: Island of the Idols' Episode 2
Wow! What an amazing episode of Survivor tonight! First off, thank you to Lairo for voting out Ronnie. That was a great move. Sure, it pissed off Aaron, and Vince wasn't happy about getting votes, but hey, it got Ronnie out and I'm happy about that. Plus, it gives this women's alliance a chance to finally take some control, which I'm excited about. Oh, and there wasn't a Previously On... Survivor type moment, wow, alright, very interesting. As for Aaron, he may be all pissy, but he better at least act like he likes his tribe, otherwise they'll see him as just negativity and take him out anyway. Kind of like how Noura is at Vokai, yelling at the tribe how they don't do any work and hating on Molly, calling her, Jamal, and Jack the King, Queen, and Jack(literally) of the tribe that everyone praises, hoping to get a taste of their greatness. And then Molly spoke with Jamal about getting Noura out, soon after the tribe did yoga together, which most of the tribe didn't really enjoy. Meanwhile, Jason, who knows all out being on the outs, felt he owed Noura, so he spoke with her about how she's also on the outs.

Why Eric Forman Is "a Dumbass"
Recently, I needed a new sitcom in my life. Friends? I have already memorized most episodes and all the lines from the show, so I started binge watching That 70's Show. It is a show about a bunch of teenagers in the 70s and their weird high school adventures. I have not watched an episode since it was last aired on television. After recently starting to rewatch it, I realized Eric Forman is indeed, as Red puts it, "a dumbass." He does so many wrong things in his relationship that it is astounding that Donna had put up with it for so long. In the episode titled "Dine and Dash," Kelso offers to pay for everyone's dinner—at least that's what was understood. However, it was Kelso that offered, and in reality he was planning a dine and dash. The first mistake Eric made was that he trusted Kelso of all people to get the money and come back. Yup. Trusted the wrong guy.
