Move Over Enola Holmes, There's a New Sherlock Craze In Town
I love Sherlock Holmes. Not just the Benedict Cumberbatch incarnation, though let's be honest it is amazing, but everything about the character, the stories, his relationship with Dr Watson, everything.

If you liked Mad Men, you will love The Queen's Gambit, and here's why:
When Mad Men came out in the summer of 2007, it sent shock waves through television as we knew it. It spurred a love affair with mid-century style and design, showcased an engaging new ensemble of actors and characters, and introduced a mysterious but fresh narrative where nebulous story lines were slowly revealed but never spelled out. Similarly to what Sex and the City did for HBO, it put AMC on the map. AMC became the first cable station ever to earn the coveted Emmy for an Outstanding Drama series. Now, in 2021, we are firmly ensconced within a major renaissance of television: There is incredible diversity of storytelling both in terms of subject matter and series formats to choose from. That said, if you enjoyed Mad Men over the course of its thought-provoking, confusing yet captivating, seven-year run on AMC, you should give the limited Netflix series, The Queen’s Gambit, a shot.

Ok, Just Hear Me Out
I know what you are going to think as soon as I put this out there, and to be honest, I don’t blame you. “Of course she brought up THAT tv show,” you know what? Yeah, I am. Just hear me out though. The Office. We all know it, we all (well, most of us) love it. A cult classic, am I right? For the Schitt’s Creek lovers, it’s “simply the best,” so yes, I’m using it for comparison.

Top 5 “Basic” Sitcoms That Age Like Fine Wine
I don’t just “Netflix and chill”. No. I’m the kind of person who is more like “Netflix and spiral into a world of fiction and fun”. In the right doses, I think it can be a healthy thing. (Am I just trying to convince myself of this? Maybe.)

Atlantis VS Merlin
If you loved Stargate Atlantis Then you will love Merlin In my heart of hearts I am a Nerd, a Geek, a lover of all things fantasy which is probably why I’m drawn to writing. Through fantasy I can go anywhere I want and live anyhow I wish. Much like writing, watching films and TV is an escape, a world that opens itself up for me to wonder through.

Things I Want to See In Bridgerton Season 2
Okay, so I may have watched “Bridgerton” way too many times to admit. I might even call it my “emotional support ‘Bridgerton’” to my best friend when we talk about what we are going to watch during the week. Regé-Jean Page is a dreamboat, okay? I can’t help it. I’m sure you’re asking yourself right about now, “why watch it so many times when you could read the book series and have some new interactions with the characters?” Well, dear reader, this is a notion I found myself expressing as well. So I went ahead and bought up all the books and began reading them. After finishing the second book, “The Viscount Who Loved Me,” I thought I would share with the world a few things I want to see in the second season of the show.

Line Of Duty seems familiar? Heres why
In 2012 UK audiences awoke to the world of Line of Duty, what initially was a one series wonder turned into a massive franchise that has spread until the present selling across the world. The series surrounds The Dirty world of corrupt police officers. headed up by Martin Compston playing Steve Arnott, Vicky McClure who plays Kate Fleming and Adrian Dunbar who plays Ted Hastings each series sees Fleming ,Arnott and Hastings tackling a brand new series of police officers and detectives who need investigation for failures of judgement or committing atrocious crimes. This slow burn thriller from the BBC has been slowly growing audiences with each new series, but the BBC is no stranger to this sort of drama and it’s been perfecting the art for many years, while Line of Duty has been praised for its accuracy and grittiness you have to go back to 1992 to see something far more sinister.

TV Shows That Remind Us What It’s Like To Be Human
Humans are complex creatures. We’re selfish, self-absorbed and materialistic, compassionate, intelligent, and vulnerable. We’re raw and happy. We’re wrapped inside our own little world for most of our lives. It’s easy to forget what it’s like to be human - to be empathetic to other people’s suffering, to be sympathetic to other people’s pain, and what our purpose in life is. Society tells us who to be and what to achieve.

If you want Truth then Romance
It’s only so rare that a romantic comedy is realistic. We do manage to sit through the sappy and rather humorous films like Love Actually (Richard Curtis, 2003) because we know that we are going to somehow feel warm and yet humorously satisfied. While even the most masculine men will still sit with their girlfriends to watch these films, psychologically we ingest the morals and messages of these films. Some romantic comedies make us want to fall in love, others reevaluate our current or lack of relationships. However we do forget that in reality it is rather uncommon to propose to a woman you have known for less than a month. But what if a romantic comedy was realistic? Would the characters we have learned to love over a two hour run time be hitched by the end? Would every moment feel ever so romantic? Would their arguments be relatable or could their relationship be a mundane representation of our realities? But despite the relationship focus, in a romantic comedy we look for the two factors; Romance and comedy. Using the traditional archetype, ladies interested in a romantic comedy may perhaps be looking for a heroine they can relate to. Someone who has experienced abandonment, loss, self loathing and a want in life to find the man of her dreams like the charming Lucy Eleanor Moderatz played by Sandra Bullock from While you were sleeping (Jon Turtletaub, 2003). Some women may use these films to dream upon the man who would go the distance for them like the memorable performance from Heath Ledger as Patrick Verona in 10 Things I hate about you (Gil Junger, 1999). As a male, continuing this archetype, we could be looking for the extraordinary situation in which we find ourselves with a hopeless romantic, chasing after the girl who is just out of our league, Notting Hill showed this (Roger Mitchell, 1999).
