Educational Procrastination
A passing glance triggered it, a boredom-staving traipse through a sea of entertainment. My curiosity got the better of me that day, and I’m so glad it did, but my mum would say it’s just lucky I’m not a cat. (“Curiosity killed the cat,” she’d chide me, but her words often went in one ear and out the other.) Feline or human, I was a creature of habit, and I’d be back to the same old tricks despite each and every warning. This time, I was drowning in the waters of unfulfilled energy, and I wanted an outlet.

Subtitles are Sexy
March Madness is all about brackets. They start by placing college basketball teams against each other until the brackets narrow down to one single winner. Films and TV can have brackets too. But this bracket...is reverse! We are starting with one tv show and showing how it can span into a multitude of viewing. Let's play ball? Let the show begin!

Lights, Camera, Netflix. Top Story - March 2021.
10 Things I Hate About You defines life as an adolescent. Hungry with an appetite for romance and an unquenchable thirst for self assurance. Emotions run high and hormones pump like fire through the veins, igniting our physical and psychological transition into adulthood. Twenty years later and 10 Things I Hate About You still holds up majestically! This near-perfect slice of teen romantic comedy will forever be a classic engraved in our hearts for two reasons. Firstly, the message the film conveys being that happiness truly comes from within. Secondly, the pure nostalgia for life in the role as a youngster. As we age like fine wine we recognize that time is of the essence. Events and situations that once held great importance as a teen now crumble. We’ve opened our eyes to the illusion of the over idolized interpretations of what youth should be about versus what it is realistically about. The doubt of self, fear of rejection, and first acts of unadulterated intimacy make a youthful life worth living and in this instance a script worth watching. If 10 Things I Hate About You is high-ranking on your list here are some strategically formulated suggestions any dramedy enthusiasts would call entertaining!

Snow Dramas
Who doesn't enjoy a good drug trade drama? Since the inception of harsher regulation and different tactics in the War on Drugs since 1971, an amazing amount of historical data has been created. As we sift through this information, it has not been difficult to romanticize and dramatize some of these stories for our entertainment. While there are themes that evoke a sense of winning the lottery with respect to participation in the illegal drug markets, this modern history is also quite bloody. There have been thousands of lives lost to the War on Drugs, this fact is not skipped in any good drug trade drama.

I Wrote My Own Deliverance
July 4, 2020, I didn’t care about fireworks. Disney+ started screening Hamilton that day for the first time. A filmed version of the historic Broadway smash hit, Hamilton is Lin Manuel Miranda’s singular vision of a founding father with a lot to prove.

Universal Storytelling
It was Mya's "Oh, Hell No!" from Girlfriends, Nikki Parker's "Heyyyyyy, Professor Olegvee" from The Parkers, and the overbearing and messy moms of Half & Half played by Valarie Pettiford and Telma Hopkins that drew me back in and had me ready to binge all my favorite sitcoms. My eyes burned as I stayed up passed midnight because I didn't want to miss Mya's no-nonsense attitude or Nicki Parker's countless chase of her "BOO." Taking in all the nostalgia of my early teen years, I enjoyed and hated the fact that I had completed each series in a short amount of time. Unsure of what to watch next, I went on a scavenger hunt through Netflix and Hulu to see what would give me the same feeling of my favorite sitcoms. Next thing I knew I was being sucked back in by memorable characters and memorable lines, and I couldn't be more please. Good Girls, Good Trouble, and Bridgeton had me wrapped like a insect in a spider web.

The power of Pose
If you're looking for a show with romance, Comedy, drama and sassiness ,All wrapped into one. Then pose will be the perfect show to start binge watching. It's a tale of a young ,Hispanic trans women in the heart of Harlem New York city, Looking to make her mark on the Ball room scene as a house mother. What is Ball room and a house mother you ask?. Well ballroom is a special place were the LBGTQ community (usually gay men and trans women.)meet to battle each other and support one another through a dance style called Vouging . This show also really captures what it is like to be a gay man or a trans woman in the 8o's. The gay community has impacted the culture for many years now through fashion, lingo and dancing and the show highlights that. I feel the lesson is this series is to always live in your truth no matter what anyone thinks. I feel like in this day and age we need a message like that more than ever. Society is constantly telling us what to be and how to look it can be easy lose yourself. I look at some one the characters and say wow I wish I could be that comfortable with myself. Even having this show on a major TV network is inspiring within itself . Just a few years ago LBGTQ based shows were really show on regular cable. I feel like this show is a step forward to having more diversity on TV and that is a beautiful thing to see.

If you can't get enough of Pride and Prejudice, then Bridgerton is the show for you!
If your a lover of a simpler time, A time of green grass and cobblestone paths leading up to high mountain grasses, overlooking craggy cliffs and a far below weary seashore. You love the look of petticoats and linen dresses of the palest pastel colors, afoot with petticoats and silk underpinnings and long hair piled like ringlets upon a pretty head.
