Today is a beautiful day. It’s a warm dry heat with a gentle breeze that rustles the leaves and smells of hope. It’s a good day to garden, a good day to walk in the park, a good day to sit outside and enjoy nature while reading a lengthy novel. Or you could be inside all day writing articles for websites in order to build up your resume with published materials.

We have another long day of gardening in front of us, and hopefully it keeps the churning seas of anxiety and depression at bay. The job front is looking grim not matter how much I keep applying but I have to remain positive. So I’m going to write this into existence: I will get a job before October 2018. I will move out of my parents’ house before October 2018. I will do well at my job and be able to feed my cats before October 2018. I can do this. I will succeed. And so will you.

'Deadpool 2' Lacks Humor Level of the First, but Remains an Exciting Superhero Movie
I have to say, Deadpool is one of Marvel's best movies. It can successfully make fun of all of Marvel's clichés, and in addition to the typical superhero story, it manages to be pretty funny and have a few fourth-wall breaks as well.

TV: 'The Split'
In late April, The Splitpremiered as BBC One's freshest dramatic mini-series created by Abi Morgan (Suffragette, The Iron Lady). This time, exploring the depressing world of divorce, we follow the complexity of the characters' platonic and romantic relationships. This left me reassessing not only my own morals but dreams and desires.

You'll Be Chasing Your Friends to the Theaters to See This Movie
This movie was amazing. The comedy was amazing and sustained throughout the whole film and the few action scenes were well done. My favorite type of comedy is when you can get a group of friends together and all they can do is make fun of each other and at the end of the day still love each other. The chemistry amongst the cast is felt throughout the movie and you can feel the deep love that each other has for the other.

Classic Movie Review: 'Little Shop of Horrors'
Let me start off this review with a confession: I love musicals. It is my preferred genre. I always enjoy a good musical. Throughout my life, I have been exposed to films of the genre. But this review will focus on the film that made me become invested in film musicals: Little Shop of Horrors. Released in December of 1986 and directed by Muppet performer Frank Oz, like most musical films, it is an adaptation of the hit stage production of the same name. But will this film be as beloved as when I first watched it, or will it end up on the pile of B-Movie shlock left behind by the 80's? Let's find out.

Hotel Artemis stars Jodie Foster as Nurse and Dave Bautista as Orderly. These are code names as the Hotel Artemis is not quite a hotel but not exactly a hospital either. The year is 2028 and Los Angeles has devolved into chaos. The economy is collapsing and crime has become the the city's top employer. Among this chaos the Hotel Artemis was born as a place of myth where criminals with a membership can get no questions asked treatment for a variety of injuries.

Film Review: '211' Is One of Nicolas Cage's Least Inspiring Films of 2018. Top Story - June 2018.
Nicolas Cage keeps heading on a downward spiral— cranking out mediocre indie B-straight-to-DVD and VOD films no less than a span of five movies at a time in five months just to pay the bills. They keep going under the radar and are not films audiences are interested in viewing these days. It’s such a travesty because he is a very talented actor, but he just hasn’t been cast in the right film role that really captivates audiences.

Garden Update: The groundhogs have stolen the kale. They can climb under the fences, a breech that was not planned for when the system was built. Affirmative action was taken: I squirted the mother groundhog in the face with the garden hose. The enemy retreated but was later found ten feat in the air, climbing the mulberry tree. We may have one this battle, but we haven’t won the war.
