'Casino Royale' by Ian Fleming: Review
James Bond is an icon of both literary and cinematographic characters. Since Ian Fleming created the character nearly 70 years ago, he has gone on to become an icon of not just the spy genre, but of British pop culture generally. His name is recognisable around the world and is probably the foremost fictional spy ever created. So, the first story in which he appears, 1953's novel Casino Royale, has become a seminal piece of writing, not just because it introduces the character of Bond, but also in the world and the tone it creates. And, despite it hailing from a very different era in terms of what we expect from fiction, Casino Royale still stands as a very sophisticated novel, with plenty of interesting characters, surprising plot turns and an engaging prose style that brings the world it portrays to life in a very vivid way.

The Retrospective Series: 'The Guest'
With a few projects under their belt now, writer Simon Barrett and director Adam Wingard have distinguished themselves as filmmakers who like to subvert the horror genre. With their fifth partnership, however, they didn't just tackle a different genre, but rather mash horror, thriller, comedy, action, and more. Miraculously, The Guest is more than a coherent piece of filmmaking, but a bloody entertaining one.

My Review of the TV Adaptation 'Cinderella' (1997)
Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella (1997) was Disney's first live action take on Cinderella with a plethora of starts to help them out. We all know the story of Cinderella, so I don't really have to describe the plot points for this one.

My Review of 'Bridge to Terabithia'
Bridge to Terabithia is a family movie geared towards kids that came out back in 2007. I would never have heard of this movie if it wasn't for my girlfriend. She told me that she loved it when she watched it years back. I didn't see a reason why I shouldn't have watched it. So I chose to broaden my horizons and see something different for a change.

'Sorry to Bother You' Review
I saw this film on Monday, and am currently sat—exactly 48 hours after the screening, still trying to decide if I like it. This is a first for me. This is the first time in years I’ve stepped out of a film, being really unsure as to whether or not I liked it. So, I’m gonna put the beef of the film up front, and talk spoiler stuff after the important stuff. One, because this film intentionally hides a lot of what it’s about in the trailer and two, because you wouldn’t believe me if I told you the shit this movie does. So, let’s talk technical stuff, first.

'The Trial of the Catonsville Nine'
Robert Massimi. Catonsville Nine had some real good things to it; the play had some disturbing things, and some elements that did not belong. The play is put forth by the Transport Group at the Abrons Arts Center. The play takes place on the stage with the audience in the round. A small, intimate setting, the audience can view the desks that hold Life Magazine's pictures of the war. The desks also hold what look like bomb devises, a record player and file cabinets.

Reviewing the MCU: 'Iron Man'
Remember 2008? 11 years ago and a lot happened that year, The Dark Knight was released, Heath Ledger tragically passed away, and Barack Obama was elected as the first African-American President of the United States, confirming that racism is over. But something else happened that year that perhaps at the time may not have been seen as that significant; Iron Man was released.

My Review of 'The Kominsky Method'
The Kominsky Method is about two old friends named Norman, played by Alan Arkin and Sandy played by Michael Douglas. Norman is an agent that has recently lost his wife and Sandy is his best friend who so happens to be an acting teacher. The relationship between the two friends is fun, layered but yet transparent.
