Remember how you first felt watching The Truman show? You knew something was off. It was all just a little too perfect, a little too scripted. Sure enough, “scripted” was the perfect way to describe that movie. Poor Truman was playing a role in a faux-reality show from the time of his birth. No – before birth! Cameras had even found their way inside the womb with him!

My Review of "The Sopranos: Season 2"
The Sopranos: Season 2 comes off a stellar first season. That's usually the case when it comes to fantastic first seasons. Well there are the odd exceptions like the Heroes franchise. There's a sense of quality that comes with HBO shows that I can't really put my finger on and this one is another great show.

My Review of "Irresistible"
Irresistible is a political comedy that was released in 2020. There wasn't a lot of fanfare for this movie as it came out during the whole lockdown. It's too bad because I think this movie might surprise some people. They have a lot of messages in this movie that were pretty interesting and very truthful in a way.

Why the Live Action Beauty and the Beast Fell Short
I am all about the characters. I can get by bad music, bad costumes, bad plot, and even bad dialogue if I am invested enough in the characters. So, this will be focusing on some of the characters in the movie and how the changes to their character contributed to the live action falling short of the original animated version of the movie; rather than focusing on the plot changes, auto-tune/pitch correcting, or the costume design (like Emma's refusal to wear a corset or the very expensive, though kind of mediocre--in my opinion--yellow dress).

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 1 Anime Review Based on the popular and action-packed manga, created by Koyoharu Gotōge and published by Weekly Shonen Jump. The story of Demon Slayer revolves around a young boy named Tanjiro Kamado and his sister, Nezuko. After discovering his family has been butchered by a demon and Nezuko turned into one of these horrid creatures, Tanjiro vows to become a demon slayer to learn how to turn his sister back into a human. Developed by UFOtable, the anime studio drafted the series with stunning visuals, making it unarguably one of the best anime of the last few years.

Ginny & Georgia is Netflix’s latest drama-comedy series focused on a single young mom and her fifteen-year-old daughter living in a small town. Now, if you immediately thought of Gilmore Girls, I will have to ask you to stop because that shallow logline is pretty much where the similarities end.

My Review of "Signs"
Signs came out back in 2002. It was probably at the height of M. Night Shyamalan's popularity in the early 2000's. I have to say I was one of the few people that actually really liked this movie when it first came out. There was a lot to like it and I was curious if I would have the same reaction watching this movie almost 20 years later.
