Accio Nostalgia: Harry Potter and the 20th Anniversary - Is the Reunion Worth Your Time?
Hollywood has never shied away from capitalizing on nostalgia. This became especially obvious in the last years when countless Spin-offs, Reboots, and Revivals got green-light one after the other. The most recent ones that come to mind are the Sex and the City Revival And Just Like That… and the upcoming HIMYM Spin-off with the creative title of How I met your Father.

Breaking the Autistic Coded: Simon Lynch from Mercury Rising (1998)
Disclaimer: I am not a licensed medical professional and this series is not about diagnosing the character(s) with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This series is a personal examination of the film/TV show's plot, the character's traits and personality and how they relate to me as an Autistic woman. I will also examine canonically Autistic Characters, so take my personal opinions as just that, a personal opinion. I would encourage my readers to seek out different perspectives on disability representation especially from BIPOC disabled creators who are often ignored in the disability discourse. I will also try to avoid giving away any spoilers for those who have not seen the film/TV show but if I have to give context for my arguments, this will be a likely occurrence so please be forewarned.

How Do You Understand a Writer’s Voice Like Gabriel García Márquez?
The strong voice of Gabriel García Márquez in 'Love In the Time of Cholera' I have read this 1988 English version novel more than once and not just because it's a favorite. I highly recommend this novel if you enjoy reading deliberately well-written language that produces such extraordinary effects like a sigh, or better yet, "I have to read that sentence again!" Aside from writing with a strong voice in a fluid style, Love in the Time of Cholera described a spiritual type of lifelong love.

"Don't Look Up" - A Raw Flick With A Message
** SPOILERS AHEAD - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ** The parallels to real-life from the past two years to the movie Don't Look Up are insane... there could be comparisons made to COVID and the corruption in the administration. Despite the clear bias of the political implications that can be taken from this movie mocking right-wingers, there are some truths that can be found in between the partisan perspective. "Keep your heads down... one foot in front of the other..." - a dark line from the President played by Meryl Streep some can compare to the lying puppet currently in office who rambles nonsense in between threats and demands toward those he is supposed to serve, not dictate. While the many various perspectives across the world could interpret certain aspects in their own unique way, one thing will remain clear - it's all a part of a bigger picture we must step back and assess.

Don’t Look Up Falters Because of Fifth Grade Humor and Unnecessary Hyper-Partisan Bias
Yes, I get it. Global warming is a problem, and we are essentially digging our own graves. But just because someone makes a satire critiquing the human road to doom, doesn’t automatically make the movie worth seeing. Don’t Look Up, I’m talking about you, and worse yet, the Adam McKay film actually moves us closer to midnight on the doomsday clock.

My Review of "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade"
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. When I watched it again while I was in my 20's, I was surprised that it held up so well. Now in 2022 I wasn't too sure how this 1989 movie would fare today. When I reviewed the other Indiana Jones movies I was pleasantly surprised at how well they've kept up. This movie pretty much gave me the similar impressions as the other movies I've checked out.

My Review of "Cobra Kai: Season 4"
Cobra Kai: Season 4 is out and I've been waiting for this all year. I've come to really like this series even though each season starts out so questionably. This season is no different however I did have to get used to a few things to really get back into the swing of things.

My Review of "The Sopranos: Season 6"
The Sopranos: Season 6 came out in 2006 and 2007. I don't know what happened back then but it felt totally different from the previous seasons. It seems like there was a bit of a hiatus between this season and the last. There has been a lot of talk about how this series ended and I now know why everyone was so pissed off about it.
