My Review of "Disenchantment: Season 4"
Disenchantment: Season 4 has recently been released on Netflix. I have to admit I wasn't an immediate fan from the first few episodes of the first season. Eventually this show got its lets and I started to become invested in the characters. Pretty soon I became a fan and after season 3 I wasn't sure what they were planning to do in this new season.

Theater "On Sugarland"
The opening of "On Sugarland" has been further delayed, I am now told that March 3erd press will be allowed in to see it. After seeing the show tonight, I can understand the reticence for NYTW not opening "On Sugarland". The shows plot is a mobile home-lined cul-de-sac where grief is persuasive. In the center stage is a memorial of boots, helmets, dog tags as well as other personal items of the fallen soldiers as a reminder of its communities' loss due to war (we never are told which war) in this two hour forty-five-minute play. What seems like daily rituals (never truly put forth) of singing, dancing and shouting, writers Whitney White and Aleshea Harris (What to Send Up When It All Comes Down) are vague in a lot the messages put forth in this play. Whitney White who also directs this play will need to seriously adjust this play before it opens.

My Review of "Old"
Old is a suspenseful horror movie that came out in 2021 by M. Night Shyamalan. We're kind of used to what we're going to get with his movies. There's some sort of interesting plot and it will always end with some sort of twist. It's done over and over again with all of his movies but he tends to flip the script on us now and then. This movie however felt all too familiar.

My Review of "Encino Man"
Encino Man was a pretty big comedy back in 1992. I remembered the time when it first came out. It was probably the movie that catapulted Pauly Shore and Brandon Frasier's careers. Oddly enough I totally forgot that Sean Astin was the lead character in this movie. It was a movie that I liked hwne I was a kid and after seeing this movie again I can kind of tell why.

Treasure Island Review
For many people, Robert Louis Stevenson's "Treasure Island" is their first encounter with fictional pirates. It laid down the template for thousands of books, plays, radio dramas, TV shows, films and video games since, and has remained a perennial favourite with children and adults alike. So it was inevitable that, at some point, Big Finish Productions would attempt an adaptation for their Classics line. And, with Tom Baker in the notorious role of Long John Silver, it was inevitable that this was going to be a success. This is a fantastic production of the classic novel, sticking closely to the novel's roots as a ripping adventure yarn, with some fantastic performances from all involved, especially Baker as the treacherous pirate.

Old School Anime Review - Kekko Kamen
This might be the shortest entry into the Old School Anime Reviews series. Kekko Kamen is a 4 episode OVA series that ran from 1991 to 1992. It's based on the manga of the same name. The manga was written by Go Nagai as a joke and parodies Moonlight Mask (Gekko Kamen), a popular Japanese superhero that was on TV at the time. Nagai put it together as a joke and sent it to his editor thinking they'd have a good laugh and move on.
