Doctor Who: 1963: The Assassination Games Review
Back in 2013, Big Finish decided to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who with three stories set in 1963, the year of the launch of the programme. Each story featured a different Doctor from the 1980s, and the final story, specifically, saw the Seventh Doctor and Ace reunited with the Counter-Measures team, first introduced in the 1988 story "Remembrance of the Daleks" (itself designed to celebrate 25 years of Doctor Who), and who were given their own spin-off by Big Finish. In that sense, there's a lot going on in "The Assassination Games", and, as such, this is a very complex story with lots of strands to it. However, despite the complex plot and the weight of expectation on this release, "The Assassination Games" is a fantastic release that maintains a speed and pace that is perhaps unmatched by many Doctor Who stories, as well as balancing all the lead characters we know and love. In those regards then, this is an expectational story.

Andor Is One of the Few Disney Shows to Get Fascism Right

I have been banging a drum for years that Disney has been putting out programming that often appropriates the aesthetic of social change and revolution while advancing pretty regressive narratives (see my take on Black Panther and She-Hulk as examples).

Dragon Age: Absolution - a review
In an earlier review of mine, I stated that Arcane, the animated show based on League of Legends is the best video game adaptation to this day. What's more, it's one of the best shows, animated or otherwise, that aired in the last couple of years. Netflix really outdid itself with this one.

Pinocchio Movie Review
Since his creation in the late 1800s, the wooden figurine who dreams of being a real boy has starred in many highly recognisable stories. Many adaptations, especially the Disney version from 1940, set the blueprint for how the tale played out. In 2022, a modern version of Pinocchio accomplishes what many of its contemporaries missed; imbuing every component with a great sense of pathos.

The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers (Season 2) has wrapped up in 2022. I have to admit I did like the first season but I wasn't too sure what was in store for this second season. It took them 2 years for them to come out with this second season afterall. Then again you can't blame them since everyone was going through the pandemic.

My Review of "Batman Returns"
Batman Returns came out back in 1992. At the time this was the long awaited sequel to the blockbuster original Batman (1989) movie. The anticipation for this movie was pretty big and everyone had high hopes. I remember watching this movie back in the day thinking wow this was the same but very different from the first movie.
