Stain's Principle
In the rich tapestry of hero narratives within the realm of manga and anime, few characters have left as profound an impact as Stain, the enigmatic antagonist from Kohei Horikoshi's "My Hero Academia." Stain's principle, a belief system centered around the purification of heroism through the elimination of "fake" heroes, is a moral and philosophical cornerstone that challenges the very foundation of the hero society portrayed in the series. Despite his radical methods, Stain's unwavering respect for All Might, the symbol of peace, adds a layer of complexity to his character. This essay endeavors to dissect Stain's principle, exploring its ideological underpinnings, its implications within the world of "My Hero Academia," and the paradoxical nature of Stain's respect for All Might.

My Review of "NASCAR: Full Speed"
NASCAR: Full Speed is the latest sports documentary series streaming exclusively on Netflix. It's about the NASCAR racing and what had happened in their 2023 season. That means it was a pretty fast turn around time for this to be airing now. I don't have too much knowledge about NASCAR so I was walking into this blindfolded. What I got was a pretty entertaining show where I admittedly got confused a few times.

How To Get Into One Piece
In August, the One Piece Live Action dropped, quickly becoming the most-viewed show on Netflix at the time. I remember seeing in my YouTube recommended lists a lot of reviews from YouTubers who had never gotten into One Piece, who were watching the Live Action excitedly. I forced my ex-girlfriend to watch it, myself, and in turn she got her parents hooked. (Her dad’s favorite is Buggy. Everyone’s favorite is Buggy. Jeff Ward is a treasure. Jeff, if you’re reading this, I love you.) At around the same time, the YouTube channel “Dudes Talking Manga” started a series where one of the titular dudes read the One Piece manga for the first time in his life, reacting to it as the muse took him. One Piece is my favorite franchise; while I didn’t necessarily grow up with it, I did get into it when I was in my mid-teens, and it’s stuck with me this long.

My Review of "Waterworld"
Waterworld is one of the most controversial movies of 1995. At the time it was one of the biggest blockbuster movies that bombed in the movie theatres. Before memes were a thing this movie was made fun of in various ways. I remember seeing this movie back in the day not thinking it was absolutely terrible. Now, almost 30 years later I thought I'd give it another shot. Was this movie unfairly panned?

What Happened When We Visited the Java Whiskers Cat Cafe and Book Club?
Imagine a café. Now imagine it’s full of adorable cats or kittens to play with. You’re feeding and snuggling with said cats. Now imagine there’s a bunch of likeminded individuals who are excited to discuss the book you’ve all just read over steaming beverages. I can’t think of a cosier image. Well, you don’t have to imagine it, it’s real! If I could narrow down all of life’s simplest pleasures to the two greatest, it would have to be cats and books. Nothing combines them better than the Java Whiskers Cat Café which also now hosts a book club monthly.

My Review of "Hot Rod"
Hot Rod is a crazy, looney comedy that came out in 2007. It's not a highly regarded movie but it's one of my top comedies that I go back to. This is not a movie that many will like and it shows because it's not a popular movie. You have to be able to see outside of logic and reason. It also helps if you understand 1980s stereotypes and interested in zany random things happening as well.
