The Acolyte
Okay so I am very aware of all of the internet discourse surrounding the newest Star Wars show, The Acolyte. It became the newest streaming casualty. Of course there are two sides to all criticism where major properties are concerned, the valid critiques and the straight up racist and sexist bullshit. Now I am a very very casual Star Wars fan so I can’t actually speak to how the newest show handles the lore. And quite honestly I don’t care. The Star Wars universe and its canon are so expansive now, every little thing not fitting into the very narrow original movie version of the lore is honestly fine. But the very vague, not really criticism of “bad writing” is something that I can, and will address. So let’s dive into the one season wonder, The Acolyte.

“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” Is A Great Second Round For The Famous Character
Hollywood has a history of bringing long-dead movies like Beetlejuice back to life with a reanimated sequel. After the original Beetlejuice proved so successful after its release in 1988, there was little doubt that Tim Burton would delve into the grave and bring everyone’s favorite demon back to life.

My Review of "300"
300 is an epic action movie based on a graphic novel. The movie came out back in 2006 and I remember loving this back in the day. I wasn't sure how I'd appreciate it now so many years later but I was hoping it would still shine. In some ways, I still enjoyed it as I did so many years back but I also see some issues.

My Review of "Speed Racer"
Speed Racer is a movie made in 2008, based off a popular kids cartoon from the 1960s. I haven't ever really seen the original cartoon so a lot of the nuances and throwbacks that they have in this movie are lost on me. Even though I haven't seen the cartoon, this is probably how I would have expected a live adaptation version would have been realized. This movie looks like it's for kids but the way it plays out doesn't exactly feel like it.
