Marielle's Top 10 Worst 2024 Films
Welcome to the best and worst 2024 movies. I saw some great films and movies that I can’t believe I saw in a theater. Let’s talk about the films I disliked this year. First, I will talk about movies that have already been released, but I have never seen, and then talk about 2024 films. Remember, these are just opinions. We all have different tastes in movies.

My Old Ass
Aubrey Plaza has really only ever taken projects that she seems passionate about. But this year she has thrived in Agatha All Along and My Old Ass. Now she has faced criticism in the past to the effect that she only plays herself in movies and has no acting ability beyond her personality. I think her exploration of Rio in Agatha All Along proved that false. But My Old Ass seems to be back to her regular brand of comedy.

The Reality of Fame: Lessons from Blake Lively's Journey
Over the past century, Hollywood has evolved from a hub for trailblazing women to a male-dominated industry. Given the high-profile cases that have revealed its misogynistic practices, it must address gender inequality. The existing system feeds a cycle of female exclusion and cultivates a toxic culture. In their lawsuit, Blake Lively claims that Justin Baldoni, the actor-director, acted improperly and made disparaging remarks about their 2024 film, It Ends With Us. It was an 80-page complaint that was first believed to be a public relations tactic to promote the movie. Given the high-profile cases that have revealed Hollywood's misogynistic practices, the industry needs to address gender inequality. By exposing misogynistic people and promoting women on and off screen, Hollywood can overcome its lengthy history of discrimination and alienation of women. Let's use Blake Lively's recent accusations to consider the subtleties of a toxic workplace and Hollywood's attitude toward women.

My Review of "Interior Chinatown"
Interior Chinatown is an interesting mystery series. I thought it would be an interesting watch because there were some fun comedians in the cast. The problem is that this isn't a comedy at all. Sure it has some really funny moments but overall it's not meant to be a comedy. It's a mystery that isn't told in a conventional way. A lot of people will appreciate the abstract method of their delivery but I wasn't one of them.

The Family Man - A Movie Review
The biggest part of judging a character is knowing yourself. The Family Man is a 2000 film. Jack Campbell is a successful investment banker who wakes up in an alternate reality where he is married to his college girlfriend and raising a family. Jack must navigate this ‘glimpse’ to understand what truly matters.
