Desperate Housewives
I am not sure why it took me so long to watch Desperate Housewives because this is exactly my vibe. I know the show was popular during its run and has its fair amount of pop culture references in other pieces of media but I don’t know if younger people now understand how good this show was. Now I have only watched the first season, but the premise of a show that is based around housewives in the suburbs narrated by their dead friend is incredible. So let’s get into it.

House of the Dragon S2, E1
House of the Dragon is finally back for its second season and the dance has begun. At the end of the first season Rhaenyra had been usurped by Alicent and her little rapist son Aegon. Lucerys and his dragon died at the hands of Vagar and Aemond. Rhaenyra birthed her own stillborn child and everyone is getting ready for war. House of the Dragon season 2 promises more dragons, and more violence. I am going to state this now, if you are in any way, shape, or form team green you are going to want to stay far away from me. There is no justification for that and if you’re team green I am going to assume that you are stupid and therefore your opinions and thoughts mean nothing.

The Fall Guy
The Fall Guy is the fun time that was promised by the original marketing. It was clearly made by people who love movies. From the beginning credits to the end of the movie it's very evident that everyone involved in this film really knew what the best parts of action and romance movies are. It was more than I expected it to be and it knew exactly what it was.

FURIOSA and Why it Failed
By this time most people are aware that FURIOSA: A MAD MAX SAGA is just tanking at the box office and even getting yanked from theaters like that guy you know who can't handle his booze at your favorite bar. But why? Was it really that bad? Most critics I've listen to claimed it was a perfectly enjoyable film but that audiences turned away because there was no Mad Max in Mad Max. But was that really the case? FURY ROAD did just fine, great even and was a tour de force without its titular character. It had all the gear porn, action sequences (mostly executed with practical effects) and was led by Furiosa herself with the insanely talented Charlize Theron in the lead and complimented by the master of rage Tom Hardy as Max Rockatansky. It had all the things. The things we loved. Character, story and payoff. It proved once again that a strong female lead in a dude fest is not just embraced but celebrated if they are written intelligently and with depth. So what went wrong with FURIOSA? It had the brilliantly talented Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen's Gambit) as Furiosa and paired with the strength of Chris Hemsworth as the evil Demntus and helmed again by director/writer George Miller. So what bloody happened?

I Just Saw a Man Shoot Uncle Dave! Ain't No Place Safe Anymore
What kind of a sick bastard would shoot a man at a theme park? Now, I could understand if it was over ticket prices but trying to take somebody out just to cover up another crime is the most cowardly act I've ever seen.

Entering Anime
If you are a fan of television and movies, of any genre, but have yet to venture into the world of anime, you are missing out. To so many people, anime still seems like this really niche thing for people to enjoy. Some write it off as just Japanese cartoons and mistake it for children. But the reality is that anime is a world of its own with deep, rich stories for people of all ages to enjoy. However a subsection of media with as much content as anime has can be very intimidating, so how does someone get started?

The Glorious Nuance of 'Star War's
"The Jedis are the GOOD guys. THE END." Said the Tweet. This was likely an angry plea related to the newest addition to the Star Wars franchise, The Acolyte, which features a Jedi doing bad things. I've not seen The Acolyte as the toxic Star Wars fandom has driven me to avoid most Star Wars media that doesn't involve my unending nostalgia for the original trilogy. And that I can only enjoy in private, never sharing my love for it out of a strong desire not to associate with toxic Star Wars fans.

The Boys Season 4
Butcher is officially no longer a member of The Boys, MM kicked him out and even when Butcher came to help he was not welcomed back. The Starlighters that the crazy Homelander fans tried to frame for murder were freed because of A-Train. Butcher’s brain mass is causing him to hallucinate, MM is going a little hard into being the leader and we will see how far that gets our boys.

House of the Dragon
We are getting ready for season 2 of House of the Dragon, when the dance really starts. But before we do we should probably revisit season 1. Season 1 set up the dance and pretty much nothing else which means the things that come next have already been set in motion. I will be using Fire and Blood to attempt to determine what we might see this season while keeping in line with all the things that the tv show has changed about the characters.

The Boys Season 4, Episode 2
The first episode did kick off the season the right way, and honestly it was a lot less gory than expected. As far as violence goes, the first episode was pretty tame. The first episode actually focused more on the emotional motivations and some of the fallout from the end of last season. All it really did was set up what is expected for the rest of the season. This is your final warning for spoilers, I am literally recapping the episode so if you haven’t watched it yet, please come back later.
