Yo Adrian! I DID IT! I Just Didn't Get Paid for It
My Take On the Sylvester Stallone/Irwin Winkler Situation Ownership is CRUCIAL. If you don't own it, you can't control it nor do you control the revenue that comes from it. That's why you have to read every bit of that contract before you sign on the dotted line. Because if you're not careful, you could just be signing your life away.

Speak No Evil
Speak No Evil was intriguing to me from the first trailer. Mostly because I love James McAvoy and he is really great at being creepy and disturbing. I will say that I had doubts about this being a full feature film. You can only be creepy for so long before it's repetitive and boring. But in James McAvoy we trust.

Furiosa
Now we have established that I am not a huge fan of action movies. I think they generally have no plot, no emotional depth and they hold some of the shallowest acting performances. The obvious exception to this is Mad Max: Fury Road. The only action movie I’ve seen where the action actually helps tell the story. It also really isn’t a Mad Max story, it was very much Furiosa’s story which is why I thought the new Furiosa movie was a bit unnecessary. All that said Anya Taylor Joy was an impeccable casting choice so I chose to give it a chance.

Why Do We Love Movies?
Why Do We Love Movies, Films, and Cinema? Movies have a magical way of bringing people together. Whether it's at the theater, curled up on the couch at home, or gathered around a laptop screen, there's something universally compelling about the experience of watching a film. But have you ever wondered why we, as humans, are so drawn to the flickering images on the screen? Why do movies hold such a special place in our hearts, and why do we keep coming back for more? It's not just about the story or the actors—there’s something deeper, something almost innate that keeps us glued to our screens.

Ghostlight. Top Story - December 2024.
Ghostlight is at the top of my list for Oscar nominations. No fluff, no preface at the beginning of this review. I will obviously go into detail but Ghostlight was truly one of the best movies of the year. We know that I love movies about movies, but you know what I love more….movies about THEATRE. Yeah that’s right my little theatre nerd heart was so very happy with every aspect of this movie.
