We Live In Time
We Live In Time is one of the many emotionally devastating, grounded films that we get to enjoy this year. Though there have been notable films in more fantastical genres this year, the more reality-based movies seemed to have a rise in 2024. The everyday stories are what we seem to be focused on and that is going to make award season far more entertaining and difficult. That said, let's dive into the latest Andrew Garfield, and Florence Pugh film.

North Shore Music Theatre's 'A Christmas Carol' Creates Holiday Magic
I will honor Christmas in my heart. North Shore Music Theatre presents its 35th annual holiday stage adaptation of Charles Dickens’s novel A Christmas Carol this December. Lonely miser Ebenezer Scrooge doesn’t believe in the spirit of Christmas and dismisses everyone’s jolly cheer. One Christmas Eve, he is visited by three spirits who show Scrooge his past, present, and future to convince him to better his behavior towards others.

Dune Prophecy
“Born twice, once in agony, once in spice” this is the piece of the prophecy that we have heard for 3 episodes now. It refers to the key to what we have been calling “the reckoning”. Valya thinks the prophecy is talking about Desmond, but I (and Tula) think it's Lila. Now it being Desmond would imply that he is the one that starts the reckoning whereas it being Lila implies that she would be the one to stop it. So that is one question that needs to be answered before the end of the series. Let’s jump into episode 4.

Brokedown Palace is a Warning Film
Americans talk a lot of bunk. We accept that in our pride of the Constitutional right to "Freedom of Speech". Many Americans have barked the emotionally packed threat of "I'll just leave the country," when the problems in our nation seem too overwhelming or when an American is talking the bunk of a spoiled brat. Americans know that Americans are not "perfect" and neither is our "justice system" but Patriots do the best they can to uphold what we have and keep going. I say all of this before I get into the details of this movie review because this movie (Brokedown Palace) is the reason I am a liar if I say "I want to leave the country." I do not want to leave my country, and mostly it's because as messed up as my country is regarding "liberty and justice for all" this film depicts how it may be much, much worse in other countries.
