Movies Can Be Good Without Being Thought Provoking. Top Story - April 2021.
As much as people love movies that can challenge our way of thinking and sense of morality, it’s nice to watch movies that we can relax and enjoy. While it’s important we have films like The Trial Of The Chicago 7 and Judas And The Black Messiah, sometimes films like those can be overbearing to watch one after the other. People loved the reboot Godzilla movies because of one simple thing, and it’s not just because they grew up with them. It’s because we could enjoy giant monster fighting. No one really cared about a philosophical debate of humankind and whether or not they should live amongst a new kind of god. We just want Godzilla to do his iconic roar and fight other giant monsters.

Godzilla Vs Kong: The long awaited big screen battle.
The Monsterverse has been impressive from a visual standpoint to say the very least. Denying that would be denying how far visuals have come in the last 15 years. We are capable of seeing almost anything come to life on the big screen these days and the Monsterverse has been proof of that.

There’s Something Right About Chaos Walking
Please be aware this article is not spoiler-free. Thank you. Chaos Walking basically went to hell. Development hell that is. Thanks to poor initial screen tests for the film early on, it was sent back for reshoots several times, which caused a two-year delay.

Zack Snyder's Justice League: a romantic exception or a dangerous precedent?
Ask and you shall be given. After years of requests, petitions and demands the Snyder Cut of Justice League has reached the audience through HBO Max. When the American director stated that there was his version of the DC extended universe first team up film a massive movement came to support this cause, under the banner "#releasethesnydercut". Members of the cast and crew came through, too, with Jason Momoa himself to confirm that his version was "so sick", nourishing the curiosity and the desire of fans across the world to see the Justice League film that was generated by the work of Snyder. Especially since the version completed and modified by Joss Whedon didn't really achieve in its attempt to duel with the success that the first film of The Avengers had in 2012. Whedon's hand in that movie is extremely recognizable and so the film took a completely different direction from the one that Snyder meant for it, with the help of massive re-shooting session that changed a large part of the plot and the interactions between the characters, getting to the point that whole scenes and story-lines were cut off from the version that hit the cinemas in the end.

Classic Movie Review: 'Jason X'
In 1980, first time director Sean S. Cunningham made his mark on the horror genre with a summer camp set rip-off of Halloween's Michael Myers that he named Jason Voorhees. Yes I said rip-off, look at it objectively. Mass murderer, white mask, comes from an extremely dysfunctional family, tell me I’m wrong. Nonetheless, Friday the 13th did eventually carve out it's own niche and 22 years after the first film the franchise continued with Jason X.

Movie Review: The Tunnel
The Tunnel is a roller coaster of emotions and tensions. The story of a gas truck crashing deep inside a Norwegian tunnel, beneath a massive mountain, thousands of miles above sea level, The Tunnel is gripping, well acted and breathtaking. Starring Thorbjorn Harr at the head of a terrific Norwegian ensemble, The Tunnel hopes to break through the American aversion to subtitles by delivering an action/drama intense enough to make you forget it’s in another language.

King Kong vs Godzilla 5 Pieces of Little Known Trivia
No, that’s not a typo in my title. This article is not about Godzilla vs Kong, the new blockbuster in theaters and on HBO Max at the moment. This is 5 weird pieces of trivia regarding the 1962 original King Kong vs Godzilla, the Toho feature that was retrofitted for American audiences in 1963 by a shameless huckster named John Beck. With the release of Godzilla vs Kong, I couldn’t resist watching the rubber suit version.
