Stardust Is The Most Underrated Movie Ever
Stardust (2007) is a movie about a shop-boy-turned-hero, a world separated from ours by only a small stone wall, and a fallen star. It is based on the novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman. With a plot reminiscent of classics such as The Princess Bride, with a romance-fantasy plot with a few comedic points and action scenes wrapped in, it would appear to be an instant classic.

A Filmmaker's Guide: "Love is the Devil" (1998)
In this chapter of ‘the filmmaker’s guide’ we’re actually going to be learning about literature and film together. I understand that many of you are sitting in university during difficult times and finding it increasingly hard to study and I understand that many of you who are not at university or not planning on it are possibly stuck of what to do, need a break or even need to catch up on learning film before you get to the next level. This guide will be brief but will also contain: new vocabulary, concepts and theories, films to watch and we will be exploring something taboo until now in the ‘filmmaker’s guide’ - academia (abyss opens). Each article will explore a different concept of film, philosophy, literature or bibliography/filmography etc. in order to give you something new to learn each time we see each other. You can use some of the words amongst family and friends to sound clever or you can get back to me (email in bio) and tell me how you’re doing. So, strap in and prepare for the filmmaker’s guide to film studies because it is going to be one wild ride.

Creatively Bankrupt?: THE EVIL DEAD (1981) vs EVIL DEAD (2013)
In 1930, a technological revolution exploded through Hollywood with an audible bang: sound. Universal Studios, seeing the implications of this new addition to the medium, remade earlier films to incorporate this shocking new artistic device. Even though The Cat and the Canary had only come out three years before, Universal remade it as The Cat Creeps, and the horror-movie remake entered the world.

"There's Someone Inside Your House" REVIEW
There's Someone Inside Your House begins with a familiar sequence of events: Jackson Pace is home alone. A few household objects are out of place, but he only considers them briefly before moving on. By the time he realizes he is in danger, it's too late. There's a killer inside his house, and the killer will not stop before stabbing him to death. To add insult to injury, Jackson's death is synchronized with a mass text that reveals Jackson's most vile secret to the whole world.

Movie Review: 'No Time To Die' Starring Daniel Craig
No Time to Die is the best James Bond movie of the Daniel Craig era. That’s not particularly high praise coming from me as I have not enjoyed a James Bond movie since the Roger Moore era and that was mostly a so bad it’s good appreciation of A View to a Kill. For me, James Bond went out of fashion when the Cold War ended. Since then, better and more dynamic spy characters, such as Matt Damon’s super-spy Jason Bourne came along and revamped the spy genre.

Cinderella 2021
Why is love so easily dismiss in the New Cinderella 2021? Is that a feminist trait? After being bombarded by omnipresent Amazon marketing, I decided to sit and let myself be entertained by this controversial new spin on a classic tale. You might be wondering; do you need that kind of content? No, I don’t, that movie was not targeted for me, I’m no audience for it, but I was curious to see how can you make this story more modern and up to date with today’s audience.

"Werewolves Within" REVIEW
Beaverfield has attracted a weird bunch of residents. There's the new forest ranger, the gas tycoon who wants to build a pipeline, the reclusive hunter, and even the pair of gay tech-millionaires. Some residents, like the environmental scientist, want to stop this new pipeline. And some, like the residents who would profit from the pipeline, really want to build it.
