Remembering Alain Delon
I'm trying to get over his death by re-watching Delon's greatest movies. I knew that he was sick and he himself was sure that he didn't have much time left in this life, but the news of his death still shocked me. It's like even when you know that people don't live forever, you hope that some will. I thought Delon would be forever.

The History of "Saved by the Bell" (Part II: Films and College Years)
Though Good Morning, Miss Bliss didn't last long--just a single season on the Disney Channel--NBC took the show, retooled it, and tinkered with the cast. As a result, Good Morning, Miss Bliss was transformed into the popular Saved by the Bell. The central cast included Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack Morris), Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater), Dustin Diamond (Samuel "Screech" Powers), Tiffani-Amber Thiessen (Kelly Kapowski), Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano), Lark Voorhies (Lisa Turtle), and Dennis Haskins (Principal Richard Belding). This was the group that was featured on the Saturday morning series for all four seasons, from the freshman year up to the graduation from Bayside High School.

The History of "Saved by the Bell" (Part I: The Original Run)
We all love Saved by the Bell, don't we? It's one of those shows that we love so much that we can name various episodes based on even a simple sliver of a scene, or even by one or two lines. I don't think anyone who watched the show when it aired knew that it would become not only a phenomenon, but a known franchise as well, yet here we are.

August 11, 2014. Around 3:30PM Pacific Standard Time. I was on Twitter, just looking around. Then I read it. I wish I could forget it. "Robin Williams has died." My first thought: "Please let this be some sick hoax." Dead serious, those were the words that entered my mind.

Aerial Espionage
On May 1, 1960, a dramatic event unfolded in the skies over Sverdlovsk, Soviet Union. A Soviet S-75 Dvina surface-to-air missile struck an American U-2 spy plane, exposing a series of high-stakes deceptions and geopolitical blunders. In an attempt to save face, the US government concocted an elaborate cover story, claiming the downed aircraft was a NASA research plane that had suffered an in-flight emergency. The deception was meticulously planned, with the entire U-2 fleet grounded for a supposed review of its oxygen systems.
