All the Shows You Love Are Great
2020 was a rough year, and 2021’s hardly been swimming, either. I’m only human, not just a film student. I’ve binged Bridgerton twice. Some of my favorite shows I watched last year: Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Community, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the DuckTales reboot.

How MAPPA Overcame All The Odds For Attack On Titan Season 4
Regardless of the backlash from fans, MAPPA is worthy of every praise for producing a top-notch finale for the AOT fans. Ever since MAPPA took over the Attack on Titan finale from studio Wit, fans are worried about how MAPPA will pull off the series in such a short amount of time. Though the animation speaks for itself, MAPPA did a remarkable job creating believable characters, immersive backgrounds, CGI, and animations. Still, several differences are too visible, and even non-anime fans can point out the dissimilitude between Studio Wit’s final products in seasons 1-3 and MAPPA in season 4.

From Playboy-Billionaire to Savior of the Universe
Our affinity, as it stands for the genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist is undeniably immense and is an affinity that has been nurtured for many of our long-lived comic book fans for many a decade, but for those of us younger fans who were fortunate enough to not only gain exposure to the brash greatness that is/was Anthony Edward Stark through the amazing comic books adventures that have been printed on pages since 1963, we have also had the privilege of seeing this amazingly constructed and well-written character be brought to life on the big screen. The powerfully talented Robert Downey Jr. did more than bring a comic book character to life, he personified and embodied this character without pause and seemingly, effortlessly. We not only got to see Tony Stark fight the forces of evil on theater and television screens, we saw him LIVE and we saw him GROW.

My Y & R Obsession
When it comes to guilty pleasure TV, the ultimate indulgence is the soap opera. I blame (or actually thank) my grandmother Catherine for an obsession that has lasted for decades. From the daily cold open and that all familiar song to the closing credits, I have been a loyal fan of the Young and The Restless for over 40 years.

Binge-watching... and eating!
Honestly, I don’t understand people who don’t like re-watching movies or TV Shows. The only thing I love more than watching a good movie is re-watching it. I find that almost every time, when you see the plot unfold again, you notice something you had not paid attention to before. Sometimes I even grow to love characters I did not like the first time around. It is amazing to me that I can still have fun rediscovering movies and TV shows that I have watched numerous times. I love Disney movies, action movies, crime series, Harry Potter (yes, big fan, and boy have I watched them often!), comedies, dramas, name it! I think there is a genre for every occasion and every mood. I can easily spend a whole day in my pajamas with my buddy Netflix and a whole lot of snacks while being completely and happily entertained. Although sometimes, I must admit, I tell myself I am just being lazy or procrastinating. It is probably true to some extent, but I am also very passionate about stories. Whether it is a book, a documentary, an article, or a movie; I love hearing people’s stories. I love reading other bloggers and writers, I love listening to people sharing a little bit of their lives, I like getting to know an artist through their creation. So yes, I am a good procrastinator, but I realized it is also just something I love, and that I should allow myself to take an entire day, once in a while, to just be entertained and to connect with other people’s stories, without judging myself or feeling lazy.

The Truth is Out There
I WANT TO BELIEVE …in the undying loyalty and friendship of my most cherished television duo – FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. The dynamic of this classic skeptic-versus-believer twosome makes for grade A, totally bingeworthy television entertainment. Beyond being a sci-fi lover’s mainstream dream, The X-Files solidified itself in both the horror and drama genres. The X-Files has it all: aliens, conspiracy theories, romance, complicated family relationships, monsters from international folklore, religious overtones, humor, time travel…you get the picture. This show has a little something for everyone, adults and youngsters alike. And that is where my devotion to Mulder, the patron saint of conspiracy theorists, and Dana Scully, our lady of everlasting incredulity, begins.

Kids Stuff
I didn't have much of a childhood growing up. I wanted to have fun and play video games. I wanted to go hang out with my friends on the weekends. I would have loved to join the basketball team, just to get away from my parents. Nothing happened. I didn't get that kind of childhood. I worked, and worked hard. All weekend, and every morning before the sun came up. No, I didn't grow up with TV even though I was born in the 90's. It wasn't much fun. The point is that because I didn't have a childhood, I have spent the last ten years being a kid. (A kid with a full time job that is.)

Neon Genesis Evangelion
I remember the time, when I was in the middle of my teens, which was about 15 years ago. The world would get to real sometimes, too physical in my case and I wanted to be a hero, a hero in my father's eyes and others, who were dear to me. It was my phantasy, my escape, my dream. It was that time when I saw those characters in splendid costumes, teenage boys and girls, fighting with fiery eyes full of vigilant piercing determination to destroy everything that lies in their way, mainly giant monsters, called angels, but never got an opportunity to watch it. About ten days ago, thanks to my friend's advice I finally did see it. If there are robots, a dystopian world, beautiful girls, guys, school uniforms, the concept of which I could relate to still, even remember how much I hated to iron that uniform much less wearing it just because of someone's rules.
