Adding the most iconic players per era.

The Challenge season 40 recently aired, and we saw Jordan Wiseley, Jenny West, and Rachel Robinson win. There were some questionable casting choices this season, though, and I'd love to fix this iconic season. I know there are going to be some choices that people don't love but after watching Vets and New Threats I think they are all necessary.

Era 1

Chris "CT" Tamburello

CT

Original Show - The Real World: Paris

CT was probably the first call on this season. He is one of the faces of The Challenge and is a great face for Era 1. In the real season 40, he did not perform well, but he obviously still deserves a call.

Rachel Robinson

Rachel / Photo by MTV

Original Show - Road Rules: Campus Crawl

Rachel, who won season 40, obviously deserves to be on this season. She is one of the greatest female challengers of all time. I think her win was a little controversial, but she still deserves to be on the cast.

Darrell Taylor

Darrell / Photo by MTV

Original Show - Road Rules: Campus Crawl

4-time Challenge Champion Darrell obviously deserves a spot. He is one of the greatest challengers of all time. He also did not perform well on Battle of the Eras, but let's give him a redo and see how he does.

Aneesa Ferreira

Aneesa / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Real World: Chicago

This just makes sense.

Eric Nies

Eric / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Real World: New York

We have a change-up now. I don't know why they didn't try to get someone from the original Real World season in New York City. Eric Nies is the only one that makes sense.

Veronica Portillo

Veronica / Photo by MTV

Original Show - Road Rules: Semester at Sea

Say what you want about Veronica as a competitor now, but she is a 3-time Challenge Champion and the first woman to win 3 Challenge Championships. She deserved a spot on this season.

Mark Long

Mark / Photo by MTV

Original Show - Road Rules: The 1st Adventure

This is just another one that makes sense. He is the reason we have an All-Stars version of The Challenge. He didn't perform well, but he deserves a spot on this season.

Beth Stolarczyk

Beth / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Real World: Los Angeles

Here's another change I would make to era 1. I think casting got the majority of era 1 casting right, but Beth needs to be there. She is a legend in this world and deserves a spot.

Alton Williams

Alton / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Real World: Las Vegas

I know it might be controversial to take Derrick Kosinski out of this cast but I think Alton and specifically The Real World: Las Vegas is more iconic than Derrick. Alton was last seen on All-Stars 1 and performed well making the final.

Trishelle Cannatella

Trishelle / Photo by Peacock

Original Show - The Real World: Las Vegas

Trishelle is one of the OG Real Worlders. People auditioned for the show because they saw Trishelle in Las Vegas. Say what you want about Trishelle but she dominated season 2 of The Traitors and can play a strategic game when she needs to.

Era 2

Johnny Bananas

Bananas / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Real World: Key West

Duh.

Paula Beckert

Paula / Photo by Paula's Instagram

Original Show - The Real World: Key West

Paula would probably take Aviv's spot because Aviv only did 1 season. I know Paula is sober now and doesn't want anything to do with MTV but I would throw the entire bank at her and make her say no.

Nehemiah Clark

Nehemiah / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Real World: Austin

Nehemiah was actually on season 40 and deserves the spot. He is a Challenge Champion who won The Gauntlet III.

Cara Maria Sorbello

Cara Maria / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Challenge: Fresh Meat II

Again... duh.

Landon Lueck

Landon / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Real World: Philadelphia

The guys' side of Era 2 really lacked star power, and that is partially because Kenny Santucci and Evan Starkman were huge parts of this era but are now banned from the show. I would also throw a lot of money at Landon to see if he would come back. He won 3 of the 4 seasons he was on.

Emily Schromm

Emily / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Real World: D.C.

Emily was only on 3 seasons, but she still deserves a spot. Going into this season, she was never eliminated. She did lose a funky elimination on Battle of the Eras to Tina Bridges but I'd like to see a redo. She also should come back for season 42.

Tyler Duckworth

Tyler / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Real World: Key West

I'm actually really surprised that Tyler wasn't on this season. Tyler is a two-time Challenge Champion who won Cutthroat and Rivals. He was one of the main guys in this era.

Sarah Rice

Sarah / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Real World: Brooklyn

Sarah wanted to come back to Rivals 4, but MTV wouldn't cast Susie Meister. There are talks of Sarah returning, and MTV should have done whatever they could to make it work. Especially in this season, where she would have been on the same team as Bananas.

Wes Bergmann

Wes / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Real World: Austin

Wes declined season 40. I would've thrown him more money or even pushed filming back a week or two like they did for Jordan. He's that big of a get.

Laurel Stucky

Laurel / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Challenge: Fresh Meat II

Laurel is one of the biggest characters on The Challenge. Whether you love her or hate her, you know she deserves a spot on this season.

Era 3

Jordan Wiseley

Jordan / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Real World: Portland

The winner of the season obviously deserves to be called back to fix the season.

Tori Deal

Tori / Photo by MTV

Original Show- Are You The One? 4

Tori became the female face of the show and made the final this season. I think it was some nonsense that she had to go into the final right after an elimination in the ocean with Cara Maria Sorbello.

Cory Wharton

Cory / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Real World: Ex-Plosion / Back to San Francisco

In my opinion Cory is the best male challenger to never win. He is good but just not good in the final. I'm waiting for him to finally get that win.

Nany Gonzalez

Nany / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Real World: Back to Las Vegas

Nany is one of the main faces of Era 3. The fact that she wasn't on this season is crazy. She probably declined this season, but again, she should have been there.

Devin Walker

Devin / Photo by MTV

Original Show - Are You The One? 3

Devin is a Challenge Champion who definitely deserves a spot on this season. He didn't perform that well but still has made his name on this show.

Ashley Mitchell

Ashley / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Real World: Ex-Plosion / Back to San Francisco

This is one where I think she would have accepted. I don't think MTV called her after the nonsense on Spies, Lies, & Allies. Ashley is a 2-time Challenge Champion and the highest-grossing female Challenge Champ of all time. She deserves a spot.

Leroy Garrett

Leroy / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Real World: Back to Las Vegas

Even though Leroy performed terribly on Battle of the Eras, he still deserves a spot. Leroy is a perfect example of what The Challenge was in the 20's seasons.

Amanda Garcia

Amanda / Photo by MTV

Original Show - Are You The One? 3

I thought long and hard about this last choice. I went with Amanda because she has been involved in some iconic moments. She also is a member of the legendary "Lavender Ladies" alliance. The other person I was going to put here was Jenna Compono, but if I put Jenna, I don't think the next person would be able to come back.

Zach Nichols

Zach / Photo by Zach Nichols Podcast

Original Show - The Real World: Back to San Diego

I feel "Battle of the Seasons (2012)" is when this era really took off. We need at least one of the Champs from that season. Zach has played a huge part in a plethora of seasons and almost won Vendettas as well. He should have been here over Tony.

Jonna Mannion

Jonna / Photo by MTV

Original Show - The Real World: Cancun

500K Jonna deserves a spot. She has never performed that well on the flagship, but she did win 2 seasons of All-Stars, and that gets you a spot on 40.

Era 4

Turbo Camkiran

Turbo / Photo by MTV

Original Show - Survivor Turkey 8

We saw Turbo on Vets & New Threats, which was after 40, but he deserved a spot on 40 as well. Turbo won "arguably" the hardest final in Challenge history and has been involved in a lot of drama with challengers.

Jenny West

Jenny / Photo by MTV

Original Show - Survival of the Fittest

Jenny should have been the sole winner of The Challenge: Battle of the Eras. She had to tie with Rachel due to a jury vote, basically. She dominated Total Madness and should have been on more seasons.

Paulie Calafiore

Paulie / Photo by MTV

Original Show - Big Brother 18

Paulie also didn't perform well on Battle of the Eras but he deserves his spot after running the game on War of the Worlds and War of the Worlds II.

Kam Williams

Kam / Photo by MTV

Original Show - Are You The One? 5

Kam is a beast and, in my opinion, the best female to never win the show. I know her and Leroy both being on the show would be hard, and she was pregnant around the time, but I would have done whatever I could to have her on this season. She is that iconic.

Kyle Christie

Kyle / Photo by MTV

Original Show - Geordie Shore 8

Kyle was one of the main characters in all of the 30's seasons, so it was a little surprising that he wasn't there. To be honest, I don't know if we'll ever see Kyle back. He was last seen getting 2nd place on Spies, Lies & Allies.

Olivia Kaiser

Olivia / Photo by MTV

Original Show - Love Island USA 3

I know this is prior to Vets and New Threats, which was basically Olivia's season, kind of like War of the Worlds II was Jordan's season. She still deserves a spot on this season, though. She made the final on Ride or Dies and played a huge part on Battle for a New Champion.

Josh Martinez

Josh / Photo by MTV

Original Show - Big Brother 19

Say what you want about Josh, but he deserves this spot. He debuted on War of the Worlds and has played a huge part in every season he's been on.

Nurys Mateo

Nurys

Original Show - Are You The One? 6

Nurys was the one of the first ones eliminated on Battle of the Eras but after her performence on Battle for a New Champion she deserves a spot on this season. She should have become a Challenge Champion on that season too.

Theo Campbell

Theo / Photo by MTV

Original Show - Love Island UK 3

It would have been interesting to see how Theo would have played this season with Kyle there. He would have had a fellow Brit and might have been able to make it to the final.

Amber Borzotra

Amber / Photo by MTV

Original Show - Big Brother 16

I thought about Michele, Kaycee, or Amber here. I would have liked Georgia Harrison but I know that was a reach. I wanted a Champ and I think Amber provides more than Kaycee strictly becauase all of the other girls are so pressed by her.
