Wes Ramsey bids adieu to General Hospital

Wes Ramsey has confirmed that he is no longer a member of the General Hospital cast but fans wonder if his character Peter August has gone where the goblins go- below below below? Soap Hub reveals that the actor said a fond farewell to the cast and his loyal followers but somehow not everyone is convinced that he is most sincerely dead.

After his final episode aired Ramsey shared an image online showing him walking away from the studio for "possibly" the last time. Most General Hospital fans could separate the actor from his character and address that writers went afoul when scripting the son of Cesar Faison (Anders Hovis). Others, however, have said cruel things about Ramsey and blamed him for simply working with the script that he was given.

General Hospital fans hope Peter is really dead

If Peter had been shown being zipped up inside a body bag like Julian Jerome (William deVry) there would be more optimism that he is no longer in the land of the living. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) checked his pulse and told Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagoner) that she wanted to make sure August was dead before calling paramedics. Anna did not want to see him revived again but some fans still have doubts.

General Hospital viewers recall that medical professionals Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) checked Peter's pulse after he fell down the stairs in the hospital. They pronounced him dead and put him in the freezer in the basement only to find that the villain had escaped. For this reason, Peter's final moments leave questions and possibly a door for Ramsey to return at a later date.

Peter had a gun on Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storm) and her mom Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagoner) hit him in the head with a tire iron. Peter fell down a ravine and landed on his back in the snow. He appeared unable to move and seemed very frightened. Maxie, her mom, and Drew Cain (Cameron Matthison) all walked away leaving Anna alone with her nephew.

General Hospital: Is it really finally over?

Viewers say Peter die and the death glare in his motionless eyes as Anna cried. Ms. Devane closed his eyes the walked away and that was the last sight of the man who terrorized Port Charles residents for several years. Fans of the show did not get the closure of seeing paramedics calling a time of death or taking the body away which is why some have doubts.

Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessey) could have had his WSB operative spirit the body away and years from now resurrect Peter as has happened to other Port Charles characters. Some viewers thought perhaps Anna would look back and see that her twin sister's son had disappeared because he has escaped death and the authorities so many times.

Port Charles is celebrating

Wes Ramsey saying goodbye indicates that at least for now his wicked character will not be around to wreak more havoc but who knows what will happen in the future. Back in Port Charles, inside of General Hospital. there was a celebration at the news that Heinrick Faison had finally met his demise. Liesel Obrecht (Kathlene Gotti) shared a drink with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) who had been with Mac Scorpio (John J York) when the news came.

Brooke Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Seltzer) and Hamilton Chase) were so excited they shared a passionate kiss. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) seemed to have mixed emotions as Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) questioned her about how she really felt. For now, Port Charles residents will breathe a sigh of relief and Maxie will be reunited with her daughter Louise Jones (London Seltzer) but the future is yet to be determined. So for now it's Adios, au revoir, and auf wiedersehen to the dastardly Peter August.
