'Arrow': Is Black Siren A Villain Deep Down?
After being written out in Season 4, Katie Cassidy returned to Arrow this season to play a much more dangerous version of the Laurel Lance fans knew and loved. Black Siren is a leather-clad meta-human with a penchant for destruction, and she’s always aligned herself with the wrong side of right.

For Your Consideration: 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend'
As critics, we are supposed to keep a professional distance from the art we are judging and stand aside when we can’t. That is the right thing to do but that is not, however, what I am going to do now as I write about Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, a series that has quickly become less a television show to me than friends I wished I had. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t trade my real life friends for anything, I just highly idealize the wonderful characters on this show who make me laugh and sing and, tonight, cry.

'The Sims' - The Movie
Years ago, back in about 2007 I think, it was announced that the popular video game franchise, The Sims would be getting its own movie. It is now years later, still no The Sims movie, not even a MySims animated series. Now, when it was announced that The Sims was getting a movie with 20th Century Fox, John Davis even mentioned how the movie would be like the popular 1985 film, Weird Science. He mentioned it in that, in the film, kids would get a thing called Sims Infinity Pack which they would play, but soon realize that everything they do in the game affects the real world. That reminds me more about the movie, Click where Adam Sandler controlled the world around him with a remote or maybe the film, Stranger than Fiction, where Emma Thompson's character was writing a novel about a man who she didn't know was Will Ferrell, controlling his life.

Best Foreign Films Every Cinema Fan Must See
Hollywood dominates the film landscape, but that doesn't mean it's the only place where important work is being done. Compelling stories are being told all over the world, and often they can be glimpses into worlds we would have otherwise never encountered. They may not be blowing up our box offices, but now more than ever we need character driven art house cinema that Hollywood rarely touches — everything can't be a goddamn superhero movie. The best foreign films take risks, and film critics, plus serious cinephiles, thank them for it.

The Best Movie You’ve Probably Never Heard Of
Do you ever scroll through Netflix, desperate for a movie that looks good but you have already seen everything good, and everything you have not seen yet looks a little weird? We have all been there. A bunch of times. When I was in that spot one time about two years ago, I decided that I should pick something where the cover looked a bit strange; something that I would not typically gravitate towards. And that is how I came across one of my favorite movies, Comet. Comet is a romantic dramedy that first premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival. Comet features Emmy Rossum and Justin Long, who also helped produced the film. You may know Emmy Rossum from the Showtime show, Shameless, and Justin Long from the 2004 movie, Dodgeball. The film was written and directed by Sam Esmail, the creator of the hit television show Mr. Robot.

Movie Review: 'Daddy's Home 2'
I can’t feel bad for the makers of Daddy’s Home 2; the movie is too poorly made for me to feel bad for anyone involved, aside from the poor children who didn’t know any better. That said, there is part of me that sort of tilts my head to the side and thinks “awe, that’s a shame.”Daddy’s Home 2 has unfortunate timing, arriving as it does with its wildly awkward take on masculine identity, and with Mel Gibson in tow, Daddy’s Home 2 is like the guy who arrives at a party late, unaware that things have gotten awkward, and proceeds to make things even more cringeworthy through their ignorance.

Kevin Feige Clears Up Those Hulk Trilogy Rumors
After sitting out the mini Avengers assembly that was Captain America: Civil War, who isn't glad to see Thor and the Incredible Hulk back on our screens for the God of Thunder's third solo outing? As the mean, green, fighting machine takes on Chris Hemsworth's golden-haired hero in the arena of the Grandmaster, it will likely remind fans of just how great Dr. Bruce Banner's alter ego really is. So, with recent rumors of a Hulk trilogy arc coming our way, will the MCU make good on its promise?

Craziest Netflix Movies That Mess With Your Head
If you ask me, one of the biggest problems with mainstream Hollywood movies is that they rarely make you think. Most movies are visually stunning, superficial, and "feel good" trips that never really make the audience pause, and actually absorb what they're seeing.

Review: 'Surburbicon'
I love films. I love sitting down to make a night of watching a movie; leaving everything else at the door and getting lost in narrative for 90 minutes is my kind of bliss. Often I’ll go with a friend so there’s someone who just experienced what I did and who is able to discuss, analyse, and review it with me, but the majority of the time I’ll go alone then pass my thoughts onto others before the drive home.

'Spider-Man: Homecoming'
There are times when we all think "can’t we have this one good thing." What this "thing" is differs from person to person, and more often than not you will find yourself second-guessing why it isn’t a "good thing." Chances are, it’s because that good thing is deeply flawed, and said flaws need to be called out.
