GH has fired beloved male cast members

General Hospital does not seem to know what to do with younger male cast members, as they routinely kill them off or stop using them on contract. Fans still have not let go of how Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) was killed off without rhyme or reason.

The same thing happened when Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) was murdered by Heather Webber (Allie Mills). TJ Ashford (Taj Bellow) was mentioned last week but has not been on screen since his breakup with Molly Lansing Davis (Kristina Vaganos).

Josh Kelly's status update

Now, fans have noticed that Josh Kelly's name is no longer in the opening credits. Some viewers believe the character may soon exit. General Hospital, but allegedly Kelly is off-contract while filming another project and will be back. What type of storyline will he return to?

Many viewers were excited about Cody Bell and Sasha Gilmore (Sophia Mattsson) as a couple, but the storyline went sideways when it was announced that they were first cousins. Some fans say this is when they realized that GH execs were not going to utilize Cody as they should, and now there is the crazy storyline where he is expected to seduce Ava Jerome (Maura West).

Will Cody ever have a stable life in Port Charles?

Cody was getting closer to Molly, and fans were warming up to them as a possible couple. No one sees anything good coming of his trying to get Ava into bed. Cody had lots of money but blew it betting with Selina Wu (Lydia Look), so he is still in his hustle and flow mode.

Kelly has so much potential, and it's being wasted, so viewers believe the handwriting is on the wall. Morgan, TJ, and Brando were all great characters but were never given a chance. TJ did not have many storylines outside of his relationship with Molly. Brando and Sasha were a great couple, but fans were outraged when their baby Liam died. Sasha and Cody would have been great together, and no one can figure out what the writers were thinking.

Are Molly and Cody over before they begin?

Molly hinted to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) that she thought she might have found someone as she watched Cody flirt with Ava. Vaganos is 29, Kelly is 43, and Jerome is 53. Some GH viewers say Cody is out of his league in age, experience, and that Ava is dangerous.

He will also face the wrath of Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), even though he is still interested in Elizabeth Weber ( Rebecca Herbst). Kelly once said in an interview that he would date Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). He is willing to do whatever the powers that be are asking, but fans don't always agree with their direction.

How will Cody being off-contract affect his seduction of Ava, and will Molly wait around while he is doing her sister Kristina Corinthos Davis' (Kate Mansi) bidding? Josh Kelly's followers want to see him in a real and lasting relationship, and it might come from an unlikely source.

Will Kelly ThieBud be the new love interest?

Kelly Thiebaud is returning to Genreal Hospital, but it's unclear if she will be Britt Westbourne or some other character. Whomever she portrays might be a love interest for Cody if the writers allow.

Fans are hopeful, but recall that Nicholas Chaves was supposed to return to GH after filming a Netflix movie, but he never did. Be on the lookout for updates related to Josh Kelly's new project and what comes next for Cody Bell on General Hospital.

You're right. GH has a habit of sidelining great male characters. Morgan, Brando, and TJ deserved better storylines.
