Is Jaime Truly The Father Of Cersei's Unborn On 'Game Of Thrones'?

There are many questions left unanswered in terms of Cersei's unborn. Is Jamie the father? Is she really pregnant, or is it all just a farce?

Cersei loved a very few people in her world. Her children, who were all dead, and Jaime. She loved him and she needed him by her side in her unresolved conquest of the Seven Kingdoms. But lately it seems that Jaime has been going through a phase of reflections. In the episode The Spoils Of War, he realized that they were fighting a losing battle and stood no chance against Dany even with Qyburn's Scorpion. Cersei, having realized that perhaps Jaime was losing hope in their plans used her pregnancy as an effective weapon to keep Jaime in her hands as always. But was Cersei really pregnant or did she just use it as a tool to tilt Jaime to her side?

If she is indeed pregnant, then it's quite possible that Jaime isn't the reason for her pregnancy. He had been away from King's Landing fighting two great battles. When would he get the opportunity? Of course we know that the show is badly messing with the timelines as it is rightly said.

Euron has established his presence quite fiercely in the first three episodes of this season. His Armada is the strongest in Westeros and beyond and he laid it all out for her in return for her hand. Also in the series A Song Of Ice And Fire, we find the mention of Dragonbinder, a horn which when blown enables the blower to gain control of any dragon which hears it. And it was in the possession of Euron.

"I am Dragonbinder ... No mortal man should sound me and live ... Blood for fire, fire for blood."

Cersei's lust for power wouldn't let her go astray of such a strong potential ally. And we know that she can even go to higher extremes to achieve an advantageous position over her enemies. Remember The Great Sept Of Baelor? Wasn't a pretty sight. Power is what her heart craves for.

Daenerys was suffering as half of her armies and allies were either dead or captured. If Cersei gained control of Dragonbinder she could have easily taken on Daenerys as her dragons wouldn't have been a problem then. But Euron is cunning and vicious. He wouldn't give away his prized possession if he had nothing to gain in return. So Cersei might have slept with Euron to strengthen her ties with him in the absence of Jaime.

But she loved Jaime, not Euron. She couldn't afford to let go of the only man alive whom she loved truly. So she could have lied about it thereby gaining Jaime's love and Euron's armada. Jaime wouldn't doubt Cersei and even if he did, there wasn't any certain way of knowing who was responsible for the bulge in her stomach. And he got swayed away by emotions when Cersei mentioned that she would announce to the world that Jaime was the father of her child.

"A lion doesn't concern himself with the opinions of the sheep."

So he had no shred of doubt and Cersei achieved what she aimed for.
