Has Days of Our Lives placed Bo and Hope on the back burner for now?
Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso's episodes are done and no one knows when they will return.

When will Bo wake from his coma?
Days of Our Lives fans are wondering when Bo Brady will wake from his coma and what it will mean for his relationship with Hope. Will they remain abroad or go off on some long adventure? Peacock seems to have finished the Bo and Hope storyline by leaving viewers wondering what happens next for the super couple. While life has continued in Salem Bo continues fighting for his life in Greece.
Bo was last seen in a hospital in a Greek in a coma after being shot by his son Shawn Douglas Brady (Brandon Beamer). Hope was by his side and the last mention of the duo was when Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) told Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) that Bo has a long road to recovery ahead of him after Harris inquired about his condition.
Peter Reckell and Kristen Alfonso both said they wrapped up the run after 15 episodes so it looks like they are gone from the canvas for now. At some point Days of Our Lives will have to address the death of John Anniston who portrayed Bo's father Victor Kiriakis. Since Bo found his dad's childhood home in Greece perhaps this may play a role when it's time to say goodbye to Victor. This might be why Bope is still in Greece and have not returned to Salem. Shawn Douglas and the others might go on with their lives and not even mention Bo and Hope. The current focus is on finding Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslw) who 1s on a ship owned by Dimitri Von Leuschner (Peter Porte). Will Bo and Hope return in the future is the question on everyone's mind?
Many Days of Our Lives fans were waiting for Hope's love to wake her husband and he would declare his love for her but instead, the storyline left viewers wondering what was coming next. Having Bo in a coma leaves a door open if Alfonso and Reckell decide to return to Days of Our Lives at a later date. Perhaps when Bo wakes up and has had time to heal the duo might return again for a short stint. Reading between the lines of interviews that have been given Alfonso assumed that she was only going to be on DOOL for about 5 episodes like she did on Beyond Salem.
It sounds like she and Reckell ended up doing more episodes than they desired but were not happy about it. Reckell said he knew there had to be closure from Beyond Salem but this has not really happened. Fans know Bo is alive and with Hope but will he remain in a coma long term? Days of Our Lives fans, however, were excited to see Bope together again. Both actors had previously said they would not return to the soap but they obviously were given a lucrative deal that led to their changing their minds. Days viewers should be on the lookout for future updates related to Bo and Hope and what comes next.
it's very telling that they never set foot in Salem and had their own separate adventure with a few Salemites involved. One has to wonder what negotiations took place behind the scenes that led to the iconic duo's return.. Neither Reckell nor Alphonso went on to bigger and better roles after leaving DOOL but each obviously decided their time in Salem was over. They agreed to do Days of Our Lives Beyond Salem which ended with Bo waking in Meghan Hathaway's (Miranda Wilson) Chamber. Be on the lookout for news whenever ti is available regarding if and when the Bradys will be back.
