If you don't hear from your favorite BTS Fan today, September 8th, 2022, it's because they've re-enlisted in the BTS Army. The most popular singing group in the world today, BTS is back with a brand new concert film streaming exclusively on Disney +. The concert titled BTS Permission to Dance On-Stage LA was filmed in November and December of 2021 when BTS performed a series of sold out shows at So-Fi Stadium in Los Angeles.

BTS features RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, each of whom shines in the first official trailer which was dropped on Thursday, September 8th, the same day that BTS Permission To Dance On-Stage LA debuted on the Disney+ streaming service. The concert film is the kick off for a huge weekend for Disney and their Disney + streaming service as they debut several new original series, new episodes of current series and a major premiere for a new original movie based on a Disney Classic.

As part of the worldwide Disney Day celebration, which is actually three days beginning Friday and running through Sunday, the Disney+ streaming service will feature the premiere of Pinocchio, the long in the works live action adaptation of the famed Disney animated feature. Directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Tom Hanks as Gepetto, Pinocchio is skipping theaters and going directly to Disney Plus and is now available to stream, as of September 8th, 2022.

Pinocchio features an all star cast that is led by Tom Hanks but also includes Cynthia Erivo, Joseph Gordon Levitt as the voice of Jiminy Cricket, Luke Evans, Keegan Michael Key, and newcomer Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as the voice of Pinocchio. Ainsworth's previous work includes a role on The Haunting of Bly Manor and a role in the new Sandman series which recently debuted on Netflix.

Naturally, since Disney is the home of Marvel studios, new subscribers to Disney+ will be treated to plenty of their favorite superheroes. Premiering on Disney+ and streaming for the first time is Thor Love and Thunder, the Marvel blockbuster released in theaters over the summer is now streaming for the first time for new subscribers to Disney+. That's not all though, as the Marvel fun continues with a brand new episode of She-Hulk Attorney at Law debuting this weekend as well. It's the fourth episode the series which has proven to be both popular and divisive among Marvel fans.

Pixar is also getting in on the promotional act as part of Disney Day with the debut of the new original animated series Cars on the Road. The series reunites the original voice cast led by Owen Wilson as Lightning McQueen and comedian Larry the Cable Guy back in the role of Tow Mater. The series will follow Lighting and Mater on a nationwide road trip to see Mater's family. Along the way they will meet new friends, enemies, and pay homage to Mad Max Fury Road... for some reason. All 9 episodes of Cars on the Road debut on September 8th.

And for fans of the behind the scenes at Disney as well as the future of Disney movies and streaming series, Disney+ will be taking fans to D23 Expo:The Ultimate Disney Fan Event that runs from Friday, September 9 to Sunday, September 11 in Anaheim, CA. Hosted by Jordan Fisher and Ashley Eckstein, Disney+ will stream recaps of the previous day’s Disney+ announcements, show viewers the best moments from the show floor, and go behind the scenes with exclusive content, on the service on Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11. Select newly released trailers from D23 Expo will also be available on the service to get fans excited about the upcoming releases.

Fans watching this weekend will get the chance to learn even more about the soon to debut Star Wars original series Andor starring Diego Luna. The cast and crew of Andor are set to take the stage at D23, answer questions from fans and debut a new trailer for the series featuring never before seen footage and behind the scenes footage on the making of Andor which debuts on Disney+ on September 21st. Andor isn't the only Star Wars debut this weekend however, as Disney is releasing a brand new behind the scenes documentary Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return, featuring star Ewan McGregor.

And still there is more for Disney fans as Dancing with the Stars is moving to Disney+ for a new season that will stream live on Disney+ beginning on September 19th. Other D23 and Disney Day highlights include the announcement of Frozen and Frozen 2 Sing-A-Long releases on Disney+, a Dancing with the Stars documentary special, a first look at Hocus Pocus 2 new footage, and new Marvel behind the scenes documentaries. All of this intended to get you to subscribe to Disney+ on Disney Day.
