Could Your Favorite Anime Characters Survive in Real Life?
Let's talk about anime for a second-those characters we all know and love. We get so into their worlds, rooting for them in every battle, every struggle, and every challenge. But have you ever wondered how your favorite anime characters would fare in real life? Sure, they might survive epic battles, destroy mountains, or even save whole worlds in their universes, but how about the harshness of the real world and its everyday challenges? Let's take a closer look and see which anime characters would be able to survive in the real world-and which wouldn't be able to make it.
1. Goku (Dragon Ball Z)
Goku's strength is fabled. He’s defeated enemies that could wipe out entire planets, has the ability to destroy entire universes, and is constantly pushing his limits. So, could Goku survive in real life? Honestly, if we’re talking about his physical abilities, he’d be unstoppable. But when it comes to day-to-day survival, Goku might face a few challenges. For one, his complete and utter lack of common sense and his obsession with fighting will likely be his downfall in the real world where people can't be so easily blasted with energy beams. In the real world, he'd be a really great fighter, but he may face difficulties dealing with mundane things, like a normal job and interpersonal relationships.
2. Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto)
Naruto is the embodiment of perseverance. He has dealt with loneliness, rejection, and extremely intensive battles, yet he never gave up. If Naruto existed in the real world, he would likely be a very successful man, thanks to his will and never-give-up attitude. His ninja skills, although highly out of place in modern society, would definitely make him stand out. Imagine Naruto and his shadow clones trying to juggle many jobs or being a pro fighter-he could probably make it work. However, his hot temper and jumping head-first into the most dangerous of situations may cause him some issues in a world that doesn't really have life-or-death stakes.
3. Saitama (One Punch Man)
Saitama is probably the most overpowered character in anime. He can defeat anyone with a single punch. So, would he be able to survive in the real world? Well, truthfully, Saitama would live a very mundane life. In any physical altercation, he would not be stopped, but these are not exactly world-destroying monsters he may punch in the real world, right? He'd probably get really bored, right? He's a man who has lost any sense of purpose since nobody can challenge him. In the real world, without all those constant battles pushing him, he would struggle to find something worthwhile to do. Still, with his laid-back attitude, he might just enjoy the simple life of grocery shopping and taking naps—and he wouldn't mind that either.
4. Luffy (One Piece)
Luffy's ambition is never-ending. He is the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, and his belief in himself becoming the Pirate King is absolute. If Luffy existed in the real world, the unwavering optimism and never-say-die attitude would most definitely drive him through anything he sets his mind to. His body would be pretty resilient in any physical confrontation. But here's the clincher: the same tendency to leap into the fray that Luffy exhibits without weighing the consequences would more than likely get him into a lot of trouble in our world. Just imagine him on a world tour trying to get famous or opening a business; he'd probably get in over his head!
5. Mikasa Ackerman (Attack on Titan)
Mikasa is tough, skilled, and has proven to be one of the strongest and most competent characters in Attack on Titan. She's dealt with titans, fought wars, and protected her loved ones without breaking a sweat. In the real world, Mikasa's physical strength and fighting skills would make her a force to be reckoned with, no doubt. She would do well in any combat-related field, such as military, security, or law enforcement. However, it is in Mikasa's emotional struggles that her downfall may lie. In a world with no constant threat of titans or wars, trauma from her experiences might make it hard for her to adjust to normal life in peace. But when it comes to survival, she would do just fine.
6. Light Yagami (Death Note)
Light is one of the most brilliant minds in anime. His intellect and strategic thinking allow him to manipulate situations and people to his advantage. In the real world, he would be in his perfect element in the corporate business world, law enforcement, or even in politics, as any such place values brains. Unfortunately, Light's arrogance and lack of empathy might bring about his own failure. A world where power and influence many times come from relationships and trust, Light's obsession with control may just isolate him. Still, there is little doubt he could survive and thrive—just not without stepping on a lot of toes along the way.
7. Todoroki Shoto (My Hero Academia)
Todoroki has one of the most powerful Quirks in My Hero Academia: the ability to control fire and ice. In real life, he could easily adapt to being a hero, firefighter, or even a corporate executive in a world where people might hire him for his abilities. However, Todoroki’s internal struggle with his family and his emotions could make it difficult for him to find peace. The real world doesn't have the same kind of battles that he's used to, so his growth would likely be more psychological than physical. That said, his abilities would make him a strong contender in any situation.
8. Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)
Edward's intellect, alchemical abilities, and fighting skills make him an incredibly resourceful character. In the real world, his skills would probably turn up in engineering, research, and even the military. With his strong sense of justice, he would also become someone who fights for the greater good. However, Edward's short stature and sometimes impulsive nature might be a problem in the world that requires a bit more diplomacy and patience. Still, Edward, with his determination and intelligence, would get it.
