As Kids, we thought Luffy was dumb; Yet he was beyond loyal!

Deeper Perception Of Luffy's Main Character Spirit.

Luffy

Ever since I binged on One Piece as a kid with my friends, some odd thoughts have always wandered in my head. For starters, Luffy isn’t just a comical, dumb character or someone who just goes straight to the point when indulging in his goals, but there’s a profound depth if you look beyond his perception.

Firstly, it’s apparent from many incidents that Luffy is definitely one of the most loyal captains within the anime. And hence, it keeps showing more when I watch the Davy Back Fight arc.

Luffy focuses on quality rather than quantity

This is the saga that some of us thought that if it’s a filler, yet it isn’t. But yes, the battle between Luffy’s crew with the Silver Foxy pirates was probably one of my least favorite arcs if I’m being real. However, the ending episode of it shows something distinct about Luffy that was often overlooked.

For you see, when my friends and I watched it as kids, they would go speechless and facepalm when Luffy rejected an army of the Silver Foxy pirates since he could’ve had so much manpower for his ship.

Though that is when I realize that Luffy isn’t interested in numbers or powers in adding crewmates. He’s just the type to add people whom he finds interesting and fancies, as if he’s showing symptoms of being in a shiny object syndrome. And yes, even if he never ceases to lose motivation after the shiny object syndrome, because of his impulsive dedication to his dreams of becoming the pirate king.

How does it elevate to the later episodes?

This episode gets to foreshadow and hint even more when he goes beyond his way by rescuing Robin during the Enies Lobby arc. When Robin learns to trust Luffy beyond her expectations and pleads with him to rescue while crying, that gets to be a tear-jerking scene for all the tough men out there.

As a result, it gets to display that Luffy’s loyalty severely outweighs his lack of intellect. Moments like these get to showcase that being loyal is challenging, but not impossible, when people are at their worst.

One Piece: The Mainstream Eye-Puller But Worth All The Hype!

One Piece has come a long way as one of the most timelessly iconic global anime sensations. It proves to be an all-time anime. It all starts from the arcs before crossing the grand line, and personally, for me, that was one of the best arcs. Usually, people would state that it’s either the arc where Luffy is involved in a grand war to rescue Ace or the one that became intensely viral regarding his battle against Kaido’s domain.

However, for me personally, the arc before crossing the Grand Line remains a nostalgic memory; the thought of finding unique crewmates having interesting personalities one after the other gets to me. Despite each of the crew members having such differences in terms of dynamics and personality, it makes it a colorful anime for many. Not only that, but it continued to be an inspiration for many fans worldwide, and that revolves around relentlessly chasing their dreams.

Nobody Is Ready For The Ending

Despite how the anime is probably one of the longest running ones around, it never goes dry and gets even better than the other two of the big three. For example, Naruto gets to live up to its reputation, but ever since Boruto came along, it has dropped its reputation. Not to mention, it’s not just how Boruto is a boring character compared to his father, but they made so many characters dirty.

Regarding the anime’s long emotional journey, we all know that it will be a storm for the whole media wave. We want the ending, but we aren’t ready to face it since some of us will find it hard to let go of this masterpiece.
