Echo - January 9, 2024

Many people were taken aback by Marvel's first 2024 release, which was billed as the return of Charlie Cox's Daredevil and Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin following their respective MCU cameos in Hawkeye and Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, the film was actually something very different. Even though Kingpin had a significant role despite having a very small amount of screen time, the marketing turned out to be deceptive, especially when it came to the emphasis on Daredevil. Rather, Echo tells the tale of Alaqua Cox's character, Maya Lopez, as she reclaims her roots and identity.

The story's fundamental ideas were excellent, but the cutting turned out to be incredibly erratic, and extensive post-production editing apparently did a lot of damage. Nevertheless, Echo was by no means a failure, and this instance of positive representation gets an A+.
