BBNaija, short for Big Brother Nigeria, is the new craze of the town. There's no denying it. There's no running away from it. In fact, if you're a Nigerian then you know that BBNaija news now haunts us E-VE-RY-WHERE. It's every other post on our news feed, it's every other notification, it's what everybody in your church and Whatsapp group is talking about. It is everywhere!

And this of course isn't new, this is how it goes every single year. This season is BBNaija Season 5. We're used to it. And this time around I've said to myself: okay, if you cannot beat them, join them! So this time around, I am watching Big Brother Nigeria.

My thoughts on that...are not why you clicked on this post today.

You clicked today because you want to see 11 Things You Didn't Know About one of the most beloved housemates in the house today, Kiddwaya.

Obviously, all of the housemates in the house had lives before going into the house and although we have access to these housemates lives 24/7, there are some things we still don't know about them from watching the television.

So, I have done some digging from the archives and I am here today to share with you 11 things you didn't know about BBNaija's Kiddwaya.

1. His father was arrested in 2005

One of the most popular things we all know about Kiddwaya is the fact that his father is a billionaire that goes by the name of Terry Waya.

What many people don't know that in 2005, his father, Terry Waya was arrested in London on suspicion of money laundering. Then, in 2008, he was ordered to pay a fine of more than 1.5 million pounds sterling within six months or to go to jail for 30 months.

2. It isn't only his father that's rich.

For some reason because Kiddwaya's dad is a billionaire, many people assume that his mother is a housewife. This couldn't be further from the truth. Kiddwaya's mum, Susan Waya, is a philanthropist, entrepreneur, housing practitioner, business analyst, activist, and politician.

3. He has a solid educational background

Like his current squeeze, Erica, Kiddwaya too has a solid educational background. He got his first degree from Nottingham Trent University before going on to obtain a Masters Degree in Business Sciences from the same university.

4. He and DJ Cuppy are really close.

I guess children of billionaires all have each other's numbers 🤣

Well, even if they all don't, DJ Cuppy and Kiddwaya certainly do. In fact, both of them are really close friends. Friends so much so that in the Big Brother house, when asked to give a shoutout to 2 people, he dedicated one to Cuppy and the message he left her was so sweet, it started trending around Nigerian Twitter.

5. He's a businessman.

Kiddwaya isn't relying just on his parent's money. He is the CEO of Valley Agricultural And Foods Company and also the co-founder of AK Exports.

6. He wasn't always this fit.

In fact, quite the opposite. Kidd revealed that he used to be very chubby until it got to a point when he decided to make a change. He's never looked back since.

7. He's a big spender

This is one that is quite well known but I'm still going to include it because it's still so ridiculous to me. He paid $8000 (N3 million) for a private jet to travel to Lagos from Abuja for Big Brother Naija season 5.

8. His longest relationship was 4 years

Yes. Kidd can go in for the long run. A 4-year relationship no be beans. He says that he loves confident, energetic, well mannered, and humble women.

9. He's been involved in a street fight

Hard to imagine, but he revealed that he in fact has.

10. He has a younger brother

Leave it to the internet to dig. The internet located Kiddwaya's younger brother, Daniel Waya and ever since, people have been swooning over the young man.

11. Did we say he's a big spender?

Have I already said that because I might have to repeat it: Kiddwaya is a BIG SPENDER. Versace this, designer that. I mean take a quick look at these pictures and judge for yourself!
