Closing Ceremony
"It feels like an eternity since the game started," Sakura whispered to Yuzuko. The path to the studio was simple compared to their fight for survival in the past few days. She didn't understand why Sakura needed to be discreet. The other six were trust-worthy. They were all online friends before they were dragged onto the chaos they branded entertainment.

Post Game
Yuzuko's eyes became hazed by the constant flashing cameras. It was as if she never left the island. It would have only have been a matter of time before the fame fizzled out. Yuzuko couldn't wait for that day to come. Endless interviews, photoshoots and TV stints strained her body.

Fog Lights
Generally fog would arise and dissipate as it usually does, but a few patches of it began settling in. This didn't always seem such a bad thing at first. Some of the buildings or partial streets it obscured were eyesores, and the fog that hid them picturesque. Certainly the coronas of light that crackled round the not-quite-definable edges of the fog, moving through all the colours of the rainbow and possibly beyond. (Yes, looking at it people would swear they could see colours outside the spectrum ordinarily visible to humans. Tests of this have so far proved anecdotally rich yet scientifically inconclusive.)

A Hunters story
He was trying to hide, but I could hear his heart beating as I neared. The wind was soft, gentle, but ice cold. If I was a human, been out in this cold as long as I had, it would have no doubt caused some kind of illness. Every step I took crushed the ice that had formed around the once soft green grass. It was the end of November, winter was on its way. And the way it was looking, it was going to be a horrible one at that.

Everyone Could Fly Everywhere!
Today we learned about how the civilization from before could build anything. Everyone could fly! They used 3D Printers and robots to build machines that helped them fly around the world or travel into space. Sometimes I think it's stupid to just sit around and learn about the past but these kinds of things are really fun to learn about. Elder Mai teaches us kids. She says knowledge is power. I always thought weapons and being a warrior were power. I don't know. I do love learning about machines and space. Maybe someday I can build something cool like they did back then. Elder Mai says she believes in me and that I have something called potential. I'm not sure what that means but Lawan says it's a good thing. Elder Mai says for my age I learn fast and I'm pretty good with my words for my age. She says one day it will really help me.

The Purple Forest
The Purple Forest Chapter 1 - The Purple Forest The forest watched and waited patiently, as forests do, while the new family moved in, settled and got to know the rural area. To human eyes, it was no different from any of the other stands of trees around. But they were wrong...very wrong. This small forest existed on a different plane and it was home to inhabitants with whom no human had come into contact. Eva was destined to change that.

The Girl from Mirakeen
“Up, maggots, up!” The curtains were drawn, filling my eyes with unwelcome light. I tried to rub wakefulness into my face with my hands and wrapped the thin sheet tighter around me, trying not to shiver. I got up and set my bare feet on the cold, hard floor.
