The Time of Magic and Machines
There weren’t always dragons in the valley. When they appeared they had their time. They were mighty and the world trembled upon their terror and majesty. They could not be tamed nor underestimated. Many believed them to be gods and worshipped them. Building great temples in their names.

A Life In The Dust
Lawan and I snuck out of the village today. She's been begging me to take her with me the next time I went out. It's hard enough getting past our guards when it's just me. It's even harder with the two of us together. Her dad, Chief Onwai would be pretty angry. He doesn't want any kids sneaking out, especially me and her.

Robot Rights
Today we learned about machines and the machine tribes. A long time ago AI and robots used to be servants to the civilization from before. They did everything for people. They could cook, cure diseases and even fight battles for humans. People started having robots for friends and some people even married their machines. Elder Mai taught us what AI means. It means artificial intelligence. The computer device I use to write on this thing and take pictures of my drawings uses AI. It's pretty smart and sometimes reminds me of a human.

Everyone Could Fly Everywhere!
Today we learned about how the civilization from before could build anything. Everyone could fly! They used 3D Printers and robots to build machines that helped them fly around the world or travel into space. Sometimes I think it's stupid to just sit around and learn about the past but these kinds of things are really fun to learn about. Elder Mai teaches us kids. She says knowledge is power. I always thought weapons and being a warrior were power. I don't know. I do love learning about machines and space. Maybe someday I can build something cool like they did back then. Elder Mai says she believes in me and that I have something called potential. I'm not sure what that means but Lawan says it's a good thing. Elder Mai says for my age I learn fast and I'm pretty good with my words for my age. She says one day it will really help me.

Back Then People Could Change Themselves
Today I saw this video of a mother crying. She was sad because her son was sick. He couldn't move or even talk. She was so scared he wouldn't be able to breathe anymore. Then this group of doctors and scientists helped her son get a new body. It was so cool! He could walk around and talk to his mom again and he even got to keep his old body. He did have some implants that helped his old body breathe but eventually, they found a way to move his mind into the new body. It was like downloading info from a computer onto a new one. Pretty awesome!

We Have This VR Tech!
A long time ago the civilization from before used so many great things to make their lives much easier. Elder Zue told me that they had everything. Robots that are way better than the ones we find. Computers that could cure diseases. Cars that could fly or go underwater. She says it was an amazing time.

Scavenging The Past
Today I went out into the Punished Lands. I snuck past our guards at the barrier. No kids are allowed past the barrier, but I'm pretty quiet and quick. Chief Onwai would be pretty angry since I've done this before. Why should only warriors and scavengers be allowed to venture past the barrier, and why do they even call it the barrier? It's just planks of wood.
