Halloween was gone, but things were not good in the world. While the Witches had joined in the celebrations they saw that people were finding life difficult.

They had to feed and clothe their families and keep a roof over their heads while working long hours for starvation wages.

The landlords and factory owners who lived on the secured estate on the hill preached that the sick, poor and immigrants were the ones making life hard for the people of the town.

Every year it was a case of doing more work for less wages as rents and food prices went up.

There was talk of protests, but in the past people had died when the police and military were called in to disperse them.

There was even talk of getting a truck filled with barrels of gunpowder and crashing it onto the estate and blowing it up.

The Witches knew this was wrong and would achieve nothing.

By days they dressed as normal people, and worked in the offices and factories and told everything that after Halloween things would change for the better for everyone in town.

When the people asked how this would happen the Witches said "It Will".

Now they were in the forest, Three Witches, summoning their familiars from the other world who appeared before them. The familiars asked for their instructions.

"Go to the estate on the hill. Visit every landlord, factory owner and banker there and tell them this.

If they do not stop exploiting the families of this town, then they will be punished with a wasting disease which will leave them and their families helpless and within three days dead. Show them a vision of what will happen.

When they raise wages, shorten working hours, lower rents and prices and make life better for the people of the town, you familiars can share in the happiness that will come from your deeds"

This pleased the familiars and they left for the secured estate on the hill

Well, that is one way to do it. Boils and plagues and such. Gunpowder would be a bit harsh and messy.
