The Samhain Dance
Inspired By A Beautiful Painting By The Glittering Fox

Introduction
This is the second time I have used this picture as inspiration for a story, and if you want to read the first one it is linked after this story.
This is just a short story describing the dance and why the Witches are gathered.
Angie Livingstone is a talented and inspirational artist. This is the eight Vocal Story that she has inspired by me, and if I hit twenty-five, with her agreement I will self-publish an anthology, or maybe she can use my words in a book of her work.
The music is "Sweet Fire Of Love" by Robbie Robertson and U2 which I think fits.
Although many pronounce it as Sam Hane this is how it should be pronounced
Samhain (/ˈsɑːwɪn/ SAH-win, /ˈsaʊɪn/ SOW-in)
The Samhain Dance
Samhain comes each year as the dark days of Winter arrive like Beltane heralds the Summer days. The boundaries between our world and the magical Otherworld blur and allow good souls to renew themselves.
The Witches know this and so gather on the common at Samhain to join in the dance, and sing to summon the fire of renewal and love.
They do this not just for themselves but for everyone, for the children, for the sick, for old and young, and for all on every spectrum, none are excluded, and all are included.
The Samhain Dance of the Witches goes on, the fire burns brighter. Love, care and empathy spread out from the gathering on the green, the spirit of renewal flows out from this magical circle.
The fire burns high into the sky, lighting the green and sprinkling the night with sparks like fireflies to remind us all that there is always light, even in the dark.
This is one of many gatherings that will spread good feelings through the world to see us all through the darker days of winter, bisecting the Autumn Equinox and the Winter Solstice temporally.
The Samhain Dance has always been and always will be, as the Witches show their love and care for the Earth, Nature, Animals, Fairy Folk and Everyone.

I know of this 'holiday' through reading many novels by Nora Roberts and a few other authors of witches and confronting demons. The white witches usually always win. Good work.
Very creative!
The world needs more witches like this! Awesomeness story!
Great story, well done!
You've put Macbeth in my mind with this one, Mike. Fascinating.
