The Thread

It Was Nothing More

Waking Up

He woke and couldn't move. He couldn't see. He was on a slab or table and was motionless. He was alive but he was utterly constricted.

He could breathe and just about make a noise but was covered in something that was stopping him from moving. His memory was cloudy, but the fog was very slowly clearing. This was some kind of joke surely.

He started to remember, someone had said they could tie him up using cotton thread or something similar, he had been drinking and remembered being pushed against a pole and someone producing cotton bobbins, loosening the thread and then starting around his ankles, though he was sure that would never hold him. While this was being done he didn't move and someone, or something else started with cotton thread around his arms and torso.

Things were getting tighter and he realised that his limbs were getting difficult to move. He was groggy from the drink, and suddenly there was a sharp scratch or prick in his neck and then everything went black.

Realisation

He had been drugged, obviously, and now he could not move. He shouted ā€œIs there anyone there?ā€ but was answered with silence, well not exactly silence, he could hear scuffling, although what was causing it, or where it was he could not ascertain.

Panic was starting to seep into his mind and he couldn’t see, well just a gauze over his eyes, and he assumed the same material was now covering his ears and mouth. He hadn’t known the people he was with, and he wondered why he had allowed himself to be taken by them and let them do this to him. Had someone slipped some Rohypnol into one of his drinks? He couldn’t remember any conversation, where he had been or why he was even out.

Once he had been secured, the pole he was led against must have been pulled out, then the threads tightened to completely immobilise him.

Then he heard voices.

He could make out the words

He started to scream, or rather moan through the gauze, as he heard what his fate was going to be…….

The Reason

1: ā€œWe’ve still not been successful, maybe this will be the one, but we need live specimens to test our process., we sedate them after drugging them, but the threads are infused with another South Asian-based sedative that keeps the specimen compliantā€

He was a specimen, what the fuck!! He screamed again ā€œWhat the fuck are you doing to me, let me out, let me goā€

1: ā€œAh you are too far gone, this process is very expensive and it needs to be seen through to the end. You should have been more careful, but we have paid for your body now and intend to harvest any part of you that is required for any of our clients, but we will keep you alive in this protective gauze so that we always have your parts on tap so to speak. We have replaced your blood with a new generic prototype so every body part we take from you will be compatible with any client that needs it.

Admittedly so far all our attempts have failed but we are getting much closer.

When we remove an organ, the proteins and generic blood we have introduced to your system will help regrow your lost organ.

You will never move from your current position and in all probability, you will go mad, but if we are successful you will become part of our organ farm, that is if we are successfulā€
