Joanne Rowling & The Ink Black Heart
This article contains mentions of transphobia, homophobia, and spoilers about the novel The Ink Black Heart. ------ Like many other people my age, I grew up with Harry Potter. It existed before I was born, and, like many loyal fans, I'd hoard the series: supporting the creator by buying merchandise, visiting theme parks, and going to see the movies when they were released. I remember finding solace in the community, and the characters, as if they were real friends of mine. In my teenage years, I'd spend far too much time writing fanfictions of the Harry Potter universe - which is embarrassing to admit now, but brought me comfort at the time. As a neurodivergent, mostly friendless person in middle and high school, reading was my escape: reading about people like me, people I related to, people I wanted to be like. Something as big as the Potter universe moulded my childhood, and gave me something to look forward to when I felt there was nothing else.

The Black Ibis Case - Chapter 6
McMillan Exports’ old warehouse didn’t look any more inviting in daylight than it had at night. In fact, daylight made it more ominous than before, the worn concrete, rusted steel and broken windows made this eye sore stand out from the rest of the scenery. Yet, the building’s dilapidated state was only the second thing I noticed as I drew closer. There was a feeling of dread in the air, one I had felt on my first visit and felt even more now. I couldn’t have said where it came from, or what caused it, yet it lingered in the air as surely as the cold wind had announced a fresh layer of snow since this morning.

Natural Magic Ch. 33
Read Chapter 32 Here "For your quarter exam, you will be using wind to send a message," Mrs. Theelnin announced at the end of class, "but this will not be a paper airplane as it was the first week. This week, you will send only your words to someone." She smiled cruelly. "Think of it as a game of telephone. Only your grade depends on it. Class dismissed."

Chapter Two Telomeres: A TED Talk The applause abated, and the house lights came up. I grabbed my Bellagio-branded water bottle and stood. I straightened my tie and smoothed my all-access pass lanyard while I waited for Gary to collect his things. He gave me an odd smile and nodded his head toward the exit.

The Method Mission
One day, three friends named Jericho, Hunter, and Lita were at their favorite hangout, the Palace of Sweet, and were discussing their science project, which was to give a synopsis of the scientific method. “What are we gonna do?” Hunter said. “We must present a diagram and outline of the scientific method by Thursday, and today is Tuesday, and we haven’t made any progress.” “Chill, dude,” said Lita. “We still have a day and a half to figure something out. Yeah, but when it comes to the scientific method, we all are wearing dunce caps. Oh! I just wish there was an easier way to learn more about it since the science books give little information,” said Jericho.
