william’s POV
I awoke in a bright room, I tried to get up but quickly realized that I was tied down. I blink guickly against the bright light above my eyes and tried to focus, but I couldn’t make out much besides a table and a couple chairs. “Oh, good you’re awake.” I hear my father say, I couldn’t tell where the sound was coming from but it was definitely my father. “What do you want now?” I asked, anger in my voice. “Don’t you know by now my son, I want you to do any and every little thing I ask of you.” He replied, I blinkedand growled trying to figh the urge to break free. “I’ve done everything you’ve ever asked of me.” I snapped back, all i heard in return was laughter.
I don’t know how long i’be been laying here, waiting. The last thing I heard was my fathers laughter, I didn’t know if it’s been minutes, hours or days. Nobody came, nobody went. The light never changed, I blinked against it I tried to move a few times but quickly found out that there was no use trying to escape. All I could think about was if this what Rachel endured before she….I fought back tears, I knew she endured a lot due to my father but nothing like this. I was thinking so much I didn’t realize the table Moved, I was no upright staring at a black television. The light turned off and everything was black, I could feel my heart pounding I didn’t know I had much of one anymore, but appearntly I still did. The television turned on and I stared directly into a picture of my father, “good morning son, I bet you are still wondering what is going on.” He grinned, I tried to look away and closed my eyes. I didn’t want to look at him, never again. “You can’t fight this William.” The sound of my name sounded like poison sliding off of his tongue, “I know too much, and I know how much you have fought. Both you and your sister, you cannot hide anymore.” I held my breath wishing for all of this to stop, but I know it won’t not until my father finishes what he started. “For this to work William you must stare at this screen, I know you won’t on your own so I have a couple people coming to help you.” I heard a door open, and listened as two people walked over. One was grinning, the other looked annoyed. “Do we really have to do this?” The one asked, he sounded just as annoyed as he looked. “You heard the man, keep him weak until the ball and we won’t have to worry about our finances again. They put their hands on my face and turned it so I was staring directly at the television, I tried turning my head but it was not long before the man that was grinning punched me. They held my head while pictures played on the television, “you don’t have to do this.” I stuttered, though my jaw hurt. “Shut up.” They both said. The screen turned back to my father grinning. “You see son, it won’t be so bad once you get used to it. It’s been centuries since I tried these experiments and I am beyond excited to try them again.” I heard the laughter in his voice before it turned into a serious tone, “you will be hypnotized, and you will marry Mina. You will do every little thing I ask, or you will never be free of me.” I blinked back tears as the screen shut off. I felt a sharp sting in my neck and felt my eyes close.
Chloe’s POV
its been a couple weeks and the Christmas ball is finally tomorrow, Mae has promised me and shown proof that William will be at the ball, and has sworn to keep me safe. How she’s planning on doing that with his father there I will never know, but I feel I can still trust her. She sat on my couch while I tried on dresses and shoes, we decided on the gold laced dress with matching gold shoes, Mae clapped her hands together and smiled as she circled me “you will be the prettiest at the ball, there’s no way my brother will not be able to stay away from you.
the next day was spent getting my hair done, Mae had ther stylist put half of it up into a tight bun and had the rest hanging down loosely over my shoulders. To be honest it reminded me of Belle, the gold dress, the hair…I let out a soft sigh and turned to face Mae who was now getting her hair done. “I shouldn’t worry right?” I asked, nervously. Mae gave me a reassuring smile, “of course. Don’t worry.” She replied, the rest of the time there was only silence. We had a plan for tonight, she was going to have me arrive alone, she would be arriving with William. She would take him onto the dance floor and slowly dance their way over to me where I will be waiting by the drink table. I will ask William to dance and we will finally be together, at least for a small amount of time.
