Falling Into The Unknown
The water puddles soaked their shoes as they moved their gear from the car to the sailboat. When they first parked at the marina, the rain poured onto the windshield so hard they thought they might have to cancel their outing. But the winds picked up, moved the storm northeast, and let the warm sun shine again on the Florida coastline.

Chapter 1 A gloomy day in Washington state, with scarfs covering faces and the cold wind whipping the hair of the oblivious. There are six friends, or should we say, 3 couples standing around the white marble kitchen island. They all have drinks in hand except for one, the mother. She cradles her newborn with a glow they talk about in the media. She is laughing with such joy, such fulfillment of pushing that damn baby out.

My Mysterious Friend
My Mysterious Friend It was summer vacation, a very impactful time of my life, as it was mid June and my dad and I just moved from Tallahassee to Miami, Florida. I was helping my dad and the Uhaul crew move everything into our new two story house. I was only nine so there was only so much I could help with as the main thing I was looking for was my Emerald green bike. I found my bike then all of sudden two boys, both of them 13 popped out of nowhere. “Hi I’m Kyle we’re just moving in.” One of them gave a sarcastic “Well Duh” and pointed at the Uhaul truck. “I’m Jeff and this is Victor, that’s a pretty little bicycle you got”. Then Victor asked “Yeah you wouldn’t mind if I rode it a little bit do you”? “I don’t know I love this bike”. “If you let me ride it I can ask my mom if you can come with us to Disney World.” “You mean it”. “Sure”. “Well...okay just be careful with it”. Victor got on the bike and started doing some risky tricks with it. “Um could you be careful with my bike, my grandma gave it to me for my birthday. It's really special to me.” Jeff swatted my back. “Chill you wanna go to Disney World don’t you”? “Yeah, but.” “What are you 2”? “I’m almost 10.” “Then quit being a baby”.

A Dream Come True
Thud! Then, panic. Ice cold panic. I didn’t know you could feel cold sweat underwater while wearing a wetsuit. But here I was, dangling in suspended motion, inside a sinking cage I was sure was too unsafe for this type of usage, and something had just jarred the cage hard. I couldn’t remember why I had agreed to this. The world was drifting quickly into darkness through the ombre shades of blue made possible by the penetration of piercing shafts of light. It would have been stunningly beautiful if not for the red cloud of blood in the distance, not far enough away in my estimation, swirling in whorls of pink flesh and viscera, punctuated by brief glimpses of grey on white, shadows I knew to be sharks.
