What Americans think of when they hear the term "snack," they think of common staples such as chips, cakes, cookies, candy bars, and sodas. While these things are enjoyed worldwide, but the snacks look a little bit different and come in a lot of different varieties when you're in Türkiye.
In Türkiye, tourism isn't just confined to its diverse culture and iconic landmarks, like the Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. A lot of the great things in the country are the snack foods! While not all flavors you can find are all that different from American snacks, there are some that are different enough to make your head tilt to the side. Let's take a look at the top Turkish snacks!
10. Eti's Puf Biscuits

Snackmaker Eti has a wide variety of products available, but one of the favorites has to be the Puf Biscuit. It's basically a marshmallow inside of a cookie covered in chocolate. The good news is this delightful snack comes in a variety of flavors including chocolate, strawberry, coconut, and "rainbow."

Bottom line, Turkish people love sunflower seeds. They are a common snack of choice, whether flavored or not. This snack is enjoyed in all varieties and occasions, including while out on the town or at home watching television.

Most Turkish pantries have some variation of Ülker’s tea biscuits. While they can be enjoyed with tea, and often are, a lot of people will also enjoy tea biscuits with milk, soda, or fruit-flavored drinks called Uludağ Gazoz. Like many other snacks, these biscuits come in a variety of flavors including original, double baked, or chocolate.

Speaking of another Ülker’s staple, their variety of chocolate bars are an indulgent Turkish favorite. The most common flavors include chocolate mixed with pistachio or hazelnut, but you can also get them in milk chocolate or "bitter" dark chocolate.

Comparable to an Almond Joy, the Coco Star candy bar is a great alternative if you're visiting Türkiye. The main difference between Coco Star and an Almond Joy is you don't have the almonds inside. It's purely chocolate and chopped coconut.

There isn't much to say about these except it's layers of wafer cookies drenched in chocolate. They are one of the top favorites among Turkish snack consumers. In fact, these are such a favorite that they're sold in packs of six.

This light dessert is a crispy wafer round is commonly eaten either by itself or with other desserts. If you ask someone who knows the product, it's recommended to enjoy one with ice cream. These wafers even come in different flavors such as banana, strawberry, and chocolate.
3. Eti's Cin Cookies

If you want something that isn't a typical flavor combo, look no further than Eti's Cin cookies. These circular biscuits contain orange jelly and chocolate sprinkles. If you don't want orange, you can spring for a strawberry jelly biscuit.
2. Ülker's Rulokat

These Pirouette-like snacks exist in lots of different countries, but in Türkiye you will find Rulokat's. I mean, come on... who doesn't love a cookie straw filled with chocolate? If you want something other than milk chocolate, you can find Rulokat in hazelnut flavor, as well.

These pretzel sticks are pretty straight forward, but they are one of the most favorite snacks enjoyed while in Türkiye. If you aren't in a salted pretzel mood, you can even get this product in sesame sticks or cheese-flavored sticks.
