"Whole 30" Breakfast Recipes
For those of us taking the plunge into 30 long days of eating sugar-free, grain-free, legume-free, dairy-free, and fun-free (don't lie, it feels fun-free on some days), it can be really important to start your day off right. For me, breakfast was never a big deal. I would eat a yogurt and a cheese stick, maybe some oatmeal if I was feeling extra hungry, but that would be it. Unfortunately, all three of those items are now off limits to me so I had to quickly scramble for a good plan B. Here are some of the recipes that I found and enjoyed; maybe you will like them too!

Easiest Cheesecake Ever Made
Cheesecake is second only to my husband in things that I adore (and the kids... of course)! There are about a million different things that I can do with a cheesecake, but I didn't always love making it as much as I do now. I believe that food is one of the few things that has the ability to connect people of all different walks of life. The porn star and the preacher both love a good piece of cheesecake!

Shrimp and Cauliflower Grits
So I have been on a SUPER hunt for tasty carb substitutes. And a lot of my substitutes lately have been cauliflower related. So when I saw someone mention on Facebook that they recently had cauliflower grits, I HAD to investigate this further. When I googled looking for a recipe, I realized it looked really simple to make, and I already had most of the ingredients. I decided to make this breakfast meal, and I would love to share the process and results with you. Check it out!

Gumbo Cajun Favorite
I believe that if a meal is cooked too fast that the love was not in it. I know there’s people that do not like cooking and don’t like gumbo. I am not one of them. There are people that don’t even know about gumbo, but I do—and here is my recipe and my relationship with this famous food.

Homemade Lasagna
My second favorite pasta dish of all time, lasagna. (The first of course being spaghetti.) The only bad thing is my husband isn't a fan of the ricotta cheese that is usually put into a traditional lasagna. So, instead of searching for different things to replace it with, like cottage cheese, or something similar, I just left it out altogether, which my husband REALLY appreciated. It was the biggest hit with my husband, and the guys at his work loved it too. My dad enjoyed it to the point that he didn’t leave two of the guys any of it to eat, and now I’m having to make another one for them this week!
